It is worrying not to hear any news, but im just hoping the AVN sales team are out there doing whatever they can to gain contract wins etc. Hoping that with Nigel Fox's experience and contacts in Africa we can make progress somewhere., after all, the structure is there for Avn, present in 118 countries worldwide, and being a first mover in ka band and all the other positives about the company. What about South America, where the steerable beams can also reach, are the 'A' team out there seeking new business?
Another well successfully drilled and logged and onto the next one. i am surprised sp hasn't gone higher but as stated in earlier posts, some holders happy with a few %, im holding as i know its going to rise nicely soon. Oil prices are also on our side, Permian Basin is hot property right now. GLA
Yes not a great deal to come from Indonesian government then, Filiago of Germany also not been paying, they broke the contract then they must abide by the rules and pay up, too many broken contracts in recent times have got Avn in trouble. Apart from poor sales etc. etc. Hylas 4 is being advertised a lot i see. lets hope they can be saved well before the 11th hour.
Well lets hope that if there is any compensation from the Indonesian gov. then it'll be quite a few million or so and enough to keep Avn afloat....and to keep that fat lady from singing. !
OK Laks, its a waiting game and i don't mind because i think there are some exciting times ahead for this stock.. also I may have to send the investigators round to check your gender, are you a he or a she?...... lol Have a nice evening., im off to watch a little tv.
This share is creeping up nicely, it looks as though Trump will walk away from the Iran nuclear deal which probably means more sanctions against Iran hence pushing oilies sp up further. P.S. Laks does seem to be a credible poster and comes across as neutral rather then ramper / deramper, good to have his knowledge on this BB.
The great thing about NTOG is as Matt Lofgran says, "we remain cashflow positive, all operations are already funded from existing company resources and facilities", its good to know we don't have to fund these drilling programmes with fund raising dilution issues etc. Looks like this company can stand on its own two feet. This stock looks in better health then it did last year thats for sure.
Ok Seadog, Would be great if it were true about those pie in the sky prices, but i won't get excited about poo until things really start to happen, Meanwhile we wait in anticipation for the drilling and hope for the best. At the same time this is certainly a good stock to be involved with right now. GLA
Seadog, i know that you don't appreciate rampers or de rampers and neither do i. But with regards to my post about oil prices reaching $300.00 per barrel, you must try to understand that it wasn't my opinion poo would reach that price because i honestly don't think it will be anywhere near that, or anywhere near $200.00 for that matter. I was only relaying a caption that i read on bloomberg news on tuesday morning, which did make me laugh and almost made me choke on my cereals, moral of the story.... don't shoot the messenger !
Hylas 4 does appear to have the niche in the market, (and an enormous market at that too) financially things leave much to be desired, but fundamentally its off to a good start. I look forward to successful in orbit testing then let the story begin......
Morning Ntoggers, I was watching bloomberg news tuesday morning and one analyst forecast oil could reach $300.00 per barrel! I nearly choked on my cereals, i suppose what with the nuclear dispute between USA and Iran going on it sounds plausible. No good for customers filling up at the pumps, but would be great for the likes of NTOG.
If we can get past june and survive, and H4 passes all relevant tests up in orbit then I've no doubt Avn will win multi $$ contracts as there is no comparable service in the areas covered by H4. And as long as Elon Musk doesn't keep shooting more satellites up into space to compete with us hopefully well have the captured market. I don't want to see any more restructure either just like every one else, but lets hope for the best. I also agree that debt has accrued due to delays, which can't be blamed on Avanti, also will Avn claim compensation for these delays?
If correct and 100% utilisation is taken up, and Avn can bring in $22.4m per month, , then surely we can recover over a matter of 3-4 years. Just because the finances are on a knife edge, it doesn't mean the end, plenty of companies survive financial problems, we just need to restructure- again. With the experience and contacts Nigel Fox has in Africa it can mean a real lifeline to the company.
Well apart from the financial knife edge Avanti finds itself in right now, the business is certainly very viable, if you imagine how much the likes of BT, Vodafone and others make per annum, thats hundreds of millions in a forever growing market, then im sure IF Avanti can raise the necessary funds to stay afloat then i think it can be a real success, remember Avanti has a presence in 118 countries worldwide and if they can secure even the most average sized contracts from each of those countries then im sure that enormous debt will be seen to. I just hope they can raise $50m or more before the end of june. GLA, were going to need it!
Blowntobits, Ive been in this share for a good few years now and Unfortunately i did buy in high in the early days around the 5.00 mark when the "experts" were predicting the usual it could reach this and that figure, so i kept averaging down and much to my dismay it kept dropping and dropping, but have now managed to get it down to 37p and I've got more or less the same as you invested so its a lot more then beer money. I think once the debt can be managed and its going to be a long slog, then i certainly think the business will succeed as i have every faith in its abilities to deliver given the massive network & infrastructure it has built up over the years. GLA
Once Egypt is sorted in hopefully the not to distant future, then im sure that will factor in very well to the spare price which combined with the upcoming back to back drilling in the Permian Basin will lift the sp to where it could and should be, which is a lot higher then present, thus also raising the mcap. Patience is needed here.
