the remaining of my recent purchases in the 20's/30's.
This now reduces the average of my remaining shares to 23p.

So many PLONKERS on here.

The market is anticipating/guessing that the base rate will rise in December.
Over 3 weeks until the next meeting - a long time in these days of Covid 19.

If anyone thinks that a member of the MPC can know how an interest rate vote will go and if they did know, are prepared to say so before the vote/meeting actually takes place, then they are stupid.

People should learn to listen to what is actually said . It is a traders job to second guess what will happen and take a position. Their interpretations/guesses are not always accurate.
The only time you know when a rate change will happen is on the day it happens.
Learn the lesson.

The market was anticipating a rise in November - they were wrong.

I'm sure it won't be long before i will be receiving a double digit yield on Lloyds shares based on the average cost of my retained shares on top of the capital gain so far and hopefully more to come.
Even purchasers of today may get very high yields in the coming years with capital gains on top.
It's all about choices of risk/reward.
