I bought RDSB (a proper company) at under 860p. Hopefully in the near future the yield at that price will be well in excess of 10%. I imagine funds have woken up to that possibility since my purchase, hence the continued rise to the current about 1635p

Spot the odd one out.
Not sure that fund managers would be looking too much at a minnow like DEC just because you may be invested. There are bigger and better alternatives.

just looked at graph - the share price increased again for a few months after the buyback was stopped, so the average wouldn't have dropped from 58p had it continued.

I have already recently said that it was stopped (ongoing PPI saga)after purchasing a little under £1.1 Billion worth of shares at an average of a little under 58p. The average most would have dropped several pence as the last period of purchases were mainly under 50p.

Lloyds banking group only goes back to 2009, during which time we have lived in a low inflation low base rate environment. The base rate starting 2009 at just 1.5% down to the recent nadir of 0.1%.

I don't think that 58p per share is expensive with underlying profits running in the 7 to £8 Billion range.
The last Lloyds share buyback came to an end having purchased at an average of a little under 58p
