Very misleading comparing a group spend on IT with Lloyds UK digital spend ( about 5.5 Billion dollars so far)

The current buyback on completion ,if the market gives a similar valuation as at close yesterday
would add about 80p to the share price.
A rise to £24 could potentially be quite swift as in percentage terms it is not much of a gain from here.
My horizon goes a long way beyond £24, but with perhaps small reductions in my share count along the way.

What it basically comes down to is that SS and others (that you may be aware of) do not like
being 'found out' in as far as BS/lies/misinformation goes. Their responses are all too predictable, which can vary a bit.

I am not bothered too much when people have mistakenly given the wrong info, but is most annoying when misinformation/lies are made purposely for their own agenda.

2018 earnings about 24 Billion dollars - net debt about 77 Billion

2021 Q4 earnings about 6.4 Billion dollars - net debt about 57 Billion

2022 full year earnings? - net debt end of 2022?

I sold some at getting on for £28 less than 4 years ago, can anyone tell me why it is not worth the same now.
They have rebased the dividend , having dropped it for the first time since the second world war
- hopefully we are at the start of another prolonged period without dividend cuts.
The massive drop in debt was most impressive - may that continue as well.

I would have thought a forward yield closer to 4%? (about 1 dollar a share divi), and hopefully this will increase substantially over the coming years.

As I have said and you have commented on, Lloyds have lending at conservative levels in relation to the current underlying asset values on the mortgage book.
A quick fall in the property market should not be a problem to Lloyds if such a fall should occur.
Main thing for mortgage holders is maintaining employment.

may be that SS has started to post on this board. Things haven't worked out well for the companies that he preciously commented on.

The saviour though could be that he is unlikely to be a Lloyds shareholder.
He says he bought bought a year ago at 34p?, but not a single post on this board in a whole year after until his 'escape'

Why is it that you no longer post on the boards of companies where you are losing a lot of money?, and how is it that you have never posted on any board of a company where you must have made a fortune to multiply your portfolio 6 fold in ten years,even taking into account the losses on those companies where you did post ?

A bit of a mystery isn't it.

You have been on this site for getting on for 8 years, and as far as I can see have only posted on about 4 boards (prior to your escape) where at a quick glance are losing at least 75% of investment

As far as I am aware Lloyds or any other big mortgage provider do not offer UK sub prime mortgages.
Subprime mortgages basically was lending given to people who because of the risk (credit worthiness) were not eligible for prime interest rates.

that is a wrong description. Sub prime lending was lending to people that did not qualify for prime rate loans.

Yes Lloyds have a very good mortgage book with low mortgage/value ratios.
I have no worries over the Lloyds mortgage book.
