As I thought, the only 0.5% increase in rates yesterday was inadequate to support/increase sterling value against the US dollar with the impact of the measures announced today are having.

yes looking at it in simple terms that is the sort of ratio I was expecting but 1 in 7.65 of mine got sold. I have no explanation only guesswork.

Obviously in a nominee account they are not in an individuals name. Maybe my provider with others on the books with CLS shares but not tendering as much or at all, allowed the nominee to submit more shares overall on their books to be tendered knowing that investors such as myself put all shares up for tender and thereby getting a higher ratio?

as we saw from the vote there is pressure on rate increases at present being in 0.5% or 0.75% increments.
The ONE person out of sync was the newbie who obviously wanted to stand out to get attention.
A lot can happen in 5 weeks

Lloyds has had a good run up and quickly - some pullback expected and also on expected announcement on rates. Rates anticipated to continue to rise - it is a judgement between benefits with NIM weighed against effects of slowdown/recession that come with higher rates.
Tomorrows government announcement will also have an effect on where the market sees rates needing to be and how quickly, as the measures will be going against the effect of the current base rate level.

Just checked Nationwide fixed rates - gone up another 0.25% today.
0.99% available about a year ago now over 4%

UK base rate rise was not enough to support sterling enough against the USD after the FED raising rates by 0.75 and likely to do the same next time.

I do not believe that informing the board that there was not more than 1 person who voted for a 0.25% rise is acting like a five year old.
