I think you should reflect on that - Lloyds doesn't have a 'financial situation'.
Vodafone are tens of Billions in debt.

Sentiment yes - The market will wake up one day to realise that the past difficult decade + is behind Lloyds and it has financial strength, able to afford ftse 100 beating dividends AND able to invest in purchasing billions of Lloyds shares.

the level of dividend does not determine the level of a share price as some silly people on here may think - this can clearly be seen with Vodafone and to a lesser extent Lloyds currently with probably a 5.5% + forward yield.

If Vodafone were to be forced into a dividend cut due to not being able to service the debt in a sustainable way, that would be a different matter to making a statement that the dividend is being cut in half to concentrate on reducing debt.

the total on the rns (not your calculate figure) has to be used, correct or not.
You have had to alter your figures which were incorrect if the new rns total is correct
