Incredible how you think that my having an average net capital cost on my current holding in Lloyds shares working out to be about 20p per share , after about 36 years of trading in Halifax/HBOS/Lloyds is hard to believe.

If a new investor had bought at 24p in 2020 and sold half at 48p they would have recovered all of the capital cost of the purchase, with a free ride on the rest in only about 8 months .

After a much shorter time frame as examples I hold AZN with only needing a sale of my remaining shares at 192p per share to recoup my capital outlay, and in 3i Group I have already recouped thousands more than my outlay and still have shares remaining .

Simply not good enough to suggest 'fantasy' simply because you are either a non shareholder of any stock or are doing very badly - that would explain it though.

I am not sure of the purpose of your posting on the Lloyds board.

Recently with Lloyds - many investors sitting on their hands.

Not helping with getting the buyback completed whilst at a low pricing level.

Polish squadrons shot down about 200 with a Czech pilot in their squadron taking down 17 alone. This was out of a total of about 1740 enemy planes shot down.

As with present day Ukrainians, there is extra determination to repel an enemy occupying your country

you don't see clearly - they benefit long term shareholders.

Without them there would currently be 11,521,144,613 more shares on the market.

The percentage ownership of an investor retaining their shares increases after each day that shares are cancelled

Rather than liquidate Lloyds shares many would prefer to keep them for the double digit returns., with the forward dividend yield alone in the coming years most likely beating the rate available with cash.

Also with having cash locked away for a year or two, that opens up a reinvestment risk, whereby the share price may have increased by 15%, 25% etc in that time frame .

I am certainly hoping for a substantial rebound in price from my 1st June purchase level.

Hopefully the prospects for the business is at the start of an improving trend.

I am sure that the Fed would hope that core inflation would continue into the future at low monthly changes, but inflation figures look back in time. Too early to extrapolate from a single months figure what the YoY figure will be in 12 months time.
