I would not be insulted to see Lloyds maintain profitability and maintaining a price of 45p per share whilst maintaining £2 Billion worth of share repurchases each year. I would be extremely happy with that.

I was referring to people who are not claiming unemployment benefits, but are not currently working through choice, because they can currently afford not to have to work, but if their circumstances change then they may take up one of the 990,000 vacancies currently available ,that they are able to do.

Personally, I gave up employment at the age of 45 . I am sure many people would give up work early if they were able to afford it. For a few , their work is their life, and so would continue as long as possible even if they could afford to give up.

Have fallen from about 1.3 million last year to about 990,000.

Still many inactive people of working age in the UK, who could fill a decreasing number of vacancies if they start to feel a cost of living squeeze. Having available vacancies is the better way round for the people of the UK rather than a low number of vacancies and many millions looking for work and claiming unemployment benefits.

The new quarter will soon begin. From the start of the last quarter, investors saw a significant increase to over 150p. After profit taking/re balancing of portfolios , the question is will there be a similar price gain in the forthcoming quarter.

Clearly not - that equals NO research - but you were congratulating him on his 'research'.

What personal gain would that be?

I think I have made my point that any predictions of a share price on a certain day is purely a guess, especially when guessed at before the release of vital information. Nothing wrong with a for fun guess, but to give the impression that it is backed up by research which would have to remain a secret is a different matter.

Saga needs to drastically reduce it's debt burden to get shipshape

If there is a continued pace of debt reduction over the next few years, then the current price would have been at bargain basement levels.

Lloyds forward p/e is a lot less than the ftse 100 average

S&P 500 on a P/E of about 18

FTSE 100 on a forward P/E of about 10

At a 16 year high

higher for longer is the current outlook for FED rates.
