I prefer news on the state of the UK - Any difficulty in some states of the EU property sector is something that they have to deal with. UK/EU trade goes on.

I and others are Lloyds banking group shareholders, and as such have not much interest with news about a privately held business, with Zero relevance to LBG

Investors shouldn't complain about bargain prices on offer for a long period. It is up to investors whether or not to have taken advantage (doubled share price in a little over 3 years).

Even at the current price, double digit returns are affordable to investors from Lloyds.

I prefer Lloyds to remain a bargain with increasing levels of returns.

Nothing wrong with a share price remaining in the 40's with Lloyds having the same or increasing profitability - but that would become too much of a bargain for that to be sustained by the market in the coming years, with an ever decreasing share count.

I imagine that a Lloyds TSB with a share price in the £5's in 2007 when the market cap was about £26 Billion would now in the current climate have a current share price of about £3.

I shall reiterate - I have quite a number of stocks within my portfolio and I get virtually all of my dividends paid on time (or early) with HSBC. SMIF has always been a little late but not as late as the last two payments. The problem is with SMIF payments (for the last 2 months). Hopefully the issue that has caused this will be resolved in the near future.

Total 50 cents? dividend at the current exchange rate is about 39p
