My take on it is that Lloyds has a BOD who put forward resolutions to shareholders.

A resolution to buyback shares was overwhelmingly supported by shareholders.

I have been a high rate tax payer since my early 20's . I cannot see the justification to take from what was left from after tax/NI and living expenses that was then saved/invested a further 40 % in tax .

Re dividends - ''I want'' - they are already well above the Ftse 100 average - you should be grateful.

2024 financial year should see a further good increase in returns via dividend payments.

If you wish a double digit dividend yield you could sell Lloyds to then purchase an alternative investment giving such a level.

The market determines on a daily basis what price shares change hands at.

The lower they determine that price to be, the better it is for the 2024 repurchase programme.

Next buyback should be starting in about 7 weeks time, so the lower the price the better.

As in 2023, I would be hopeful for the 2024 programme to conclude at about a 50p average price. 2023 turned out to be a bonus at about 45.6p.

SUFC has REAL shares, and there is nothing wrong with an investor on the Lloyds banking group indicating the level of commitment they have in the investment.

There are many who post on the LBG board with Zero shares, using it for their own disruptive purposes.
