really? - don't think so, you should learn to read properly and digest.

Percentage returns will be different for each investor depending on their own purchase level.

Indeed, the share price recently has been at a level whereby a purchaser would be getting a 14% return.

JCB, you could work out a rough percentage return for yourself based on 2.76p dividends per share and the worth of a £2 Billion share buyback weighed against you purchase price.

Of course in future years the dividend level will rise also and maybe the Buyback amount increased as well.

As I said, I have a lot of stocks in my portfolio - the SMIF payment is the only problem one. The SMIF payment has always been several days late before the debacle of the last 2 months.

How is stating that you decided to tie up cash incorrect?

You chose that because you didn't want any risk on the capital.

Fortunately I chose an alternative option, with many further stock market purchases, which at the moment has worked out quite well. Tomorrow is another day though.

Looking forward to the next Lloyds share repurchase programme starting in a couple of months - last years started at a price of 52p

It is a shame though that you have cash tied up at an average a lot less than 6.2% and at the same time having missed out on that cash buying very high yielding stocks, with the bonus of a rising stock prices since the cash was tied up.
