Yes.

They have in the past (over many years) done a number of buybacks and held in treasury, a number of which were ones to offset shares issued via convertible bonds.

There has in the past been over 5 Billion shares held in treasury.

Money buying back shares will certainly go a lot further at today's prices.

Market cap today is about £34.6 Billion, so you can work out what today's share price would have to be to match a £63.5 Billion market cap.

Yes that sort of news would have an effect - a large holder of stock wanting to offload some - gives an opportunity though for any investors wanting to purchase

After about the quick rise of about 35% from the low 40's , Lloyds it appears at the moment has gone into a slower daily burn mode which I am happy with for the buyback . Makes it a drawn out painful experience for some.

Most shareholders will be pleased to know that the final dividend has been approved and that permission for further buybacks has been granted.

Has been pushed up recently with very large off-book trades near end of day and/or after hours on several days recently.

During most of trading days however it has been relatively low.

If it doesn't pick up then the buyback programme could run into November/December

Yes, excellent results from BT and at the start of 4 Billion euro VOD share buybacks.

Sold some of my 30th April 103p BT purchase at about 130p and

some of my recent 7th Feb 64p VOD purchase at about 78p

Still have lots and lots of shares in both BT and VOD
