DL is at under 160p because the RNS was after market close - so a bit of price action tomorrow likely

incorrect - it is a proposal, and the question has to be asked why the Direct Line share price is trading at under 160p per share when the proposed offer would be equivalent to 250p per share.

So be a bit more careful about what you post.

If you think that the takeover will take place then it would be a no brainer to purchase DL at 160p to get 250p back. An investors choice.

Why repeat it for the next X years.

We are not in the EU and the only way back in is via another referendum which is not on the cards.

The people of the UK if ever the unlikely referendum took place in 20 + years time and that the EU even still existed, I am sure would reject a move to give back control to Brussels, and to once again pay a fortune in annual fees, and the changing of our currency to the Euro.

You really do get confused in your very old age.

No one can deny any weather that is being experienced - it is recorded each day.

What is in question is what humans can do about it. There are natural cycles over many thousands of years, and to what extent man has added to or influenced that natural cycle, no one would know that. Showing increased temperatures since the industrial revolution, is no concrete proof of a great deal of influence over and above what could have been the start of a natural warmer period in any case.

The bottom line is that we in the UK can do NOTHING to influence the worldwide weather, which includes burning ZERO fossil fuels in the UK.

It is all well and good wanting energy produced 100% from non fossil fuels, but the speed of transition needs to be weighed against the cost and changes to our landscape.

It is a question of adapting to whatever weather is thrown at us rather than constantly bleat on about it, thinking that we can change it.

Well the NAV of more than double the current market cap would certainly support a much higher valuation .

Share price was about 3 times higher before the pandemic had a devastating effect on business - hopefully a much better future from here.

After Carlsberg taking full control of Marston's ex brewing business to stop producing well known beers such as Bombardier (Charles Wells) that Marston's bought for £55 million not that many years ago, and 10 others.

I am afraid that the Irish would send any arriving from the UK back to the UK. Unfortunately we also ferry anyone into the UK who has boarded a dinghy in the English Channel, but don't worry despite the numbers doubling 2TK is still working on the plan (in progress) to 'smash the gangs' .

We were comfortable into the 60's very recently, with various speculative 'car scam (not by Lloyds)' costs being muted.

You would now like to have done a hindsight trade.

In hindsight I should not have moved my next selling point from not less than a £38 Billion market cap to a £40 market cap - I would have caught the recent peak.
