Yes I know, but was on a gradual basis, with reductions in betting limits over time down to a not worthwhile amount even before closure . They are scum, it should not matter if they have winners if they manage their book correctly by altering odds in a swift manner to attract opposing bets. I got closed by all the bookmakers that I used and probably even now would not be allowed to re open an account even after many years, not that I would want to in any case.

I did sports arbitraging for several years until oddschecker sites came along - made a good amount, then onto financial arbitraging that I made a lot of money with, all tax free of course, being classed as bets. I must have been partly responsible for the parties offering the markets that I operated in, to gradually withdrew one by one from those markets and thus my arbitraging came to an end. Now purely with stock market trading.

Moaners only moan when they are not given a good increase in asset values that they feel is their right to have in a relatively short timeframe. I am sure certain people would moan after buying at 50p if the share price were the same a couple of years later.

I used to use Betfair a lot for many years from near the start in 2000 as part of arbitraging operations. I am not really a gambler, and mainly stopped using them when I got hit by a large premium charge, which I though outrageous on top of large commissions. I have used them for a bit of political betting - I was getting about 20/1 for UK to leave the EU just before the polls closed. I have for fun done a some political bets since them, but on the whole I am a non user.

Having a share price of near 40p (or lower as I said at the time ) from Jan 2024 for 5 years would have been the best outcome for long term shareholders - would have been a massive reduction in share capital especially if buyback spending levels can be put to shareholders at a level of £2 Billion + in the future on the back of potential structural hedge benefits.

At least the big increase in share price got rid of the vast majority of moaners.

It is a bad state of affairs it you think that a post consisting of plucking figures out of thin air has been the best post.

I prefer to see what actually happens in the future regarding Lloyds profitably, the value that the market places on the business, and thus affecting the reduction in share capital can be achieved etc etc,

Future profitability can be hit or enhanced by future unknowns.

Property valuations can go down as well as up, which will change the nav per share figure.

Property values have already been written down quite a bit from a few years ago following the pandemic, but nevertheless the current NAV per share stands at well above the current share price.

The Loan to property valuation percentage is only at 38% and NOT based on over inflated values on the books
