Will it ever return?4 Apr 2020 07:56
Morning Chaps,
Long time reader on LSE, but only now just got around to creating an account - will be starting to contribute from today going forward.
For years I've been screaming about how undervalued this stock is, and yet it seems every year, quarter (and now month) it only seems to go in one direction... Really scratching my head on this one now.
I have to agree with a few of you that I think unfortunately we're going to see quite a bit more of a fall, but I wouldn't want to speculate just how much farther. Also, I've been digging around and can see there is a lot of short interest (there has been for a while) but the major culprit here is Marshall Wace, who seem hellbent on making this go to 0... (however, when it comes to shorting, those chancers have been burnt many a time in the past)
I don't know about you guys, but my gut tells me I should just trust what I can see and that is - ITV are not fundamentally a bad company/share. Solid finances, captive audience, fairly reliable revenues (albeit a bit of a dent on advertising due to COV-19), the studios product good content and it makes decent margin and once more, it's a household brand - it doesn't matter if you have the likes of Netflix, Prime, etc - there will always be a place for ITV.
Happy weekend gents,
LF
