Precisely again....hence my referene to possible mothball (major delay) or postponed decision to mine
i hope not but i have explained at length...see my earlier post ..i wont repeat her
hope i am wrong !
Precisely.....Newmont are happy to reveal that info....why no mention of the jewel in the crown .....Havieron
When I read snippets from recent articles I tend to feel there is a negative spin and feel uneasy about the lack of mention of Haveiron.....a supposed world class asset
i.e.
"Newmont will look for assets to offload and projects to resequence following a planned takeover of Australia's Newcrest Mining, although it views Newcrest's giant Lihir operation in Papua New Guinea as a core part of the combined company, its chief executive said in an interview.
Tom Palmer, president and CEO of Newmont, said the $17.5 billion takeover of Newcrest--now recommended by the Australian company's board--will be "transformational" for the world's largest gold miner, giving it more large-scale, long-life and low-cost mines and boosting its copper reserves.
"It's a transaction that's not about volume, it's value," Mr. Palmer told The Wall Street Journal, highlighting plans to generate $2 billion of cash within the first two years from reshaping the enlarged company.
"The core of our business are the 10 tier-one operations," he said, referring to the companies' biggest and most-profitable mines. "We'll work through a very considered process over the weeks and months ahead... and ensure that we get full value for anything we choose to resequence or ultimately divest," he said.
Mr. Palmer said no decisions have been made yet on which assets may be affected. Newmont views a number of operations as having potential to "move from tier-two to tier-one," and has other assets it may be interested in keeping because they are "in great jurisdictions and they're great development beds for future leaders of our business," he said.
"Combining the companies' assets should be relatively straightforward, he said, highlighting that most of Newcrest's assets are in Australia or Canada, where Newmont already operates. Newmont has estimated it can find $500 million a year of savings from the tie-up within the first two years."
Enough said !!
I agree with you
What people seem not to understand is the when we finally bring out the good stuff from underground and start earning revenues the share price will triple bag and could even reach 9.5p
The thought of that and knowing that I should be grateful to hold a multi bagger leaves me cold ( and in a loss situation)
No one disputes that the share price will be higher when we start earning but a mothwatering high of say 9 or 10 p or a buy out at the dizzy heights of 11p just isnt what we all thought the future would look like
Sorry again to sound negative but it needs saying
I am fine..just feel that to many people are being hurt by this and I hate to see nothing being done
I follow this share every day ( to my peril) and have experienced the ups and downs but this is the lowest we have been since around April 2020. I dont expect constant forward momentum but I do expect some progress in the SP. If this was a fund performance heads would roll and the public would be withdrawing faster than you could say "Sean of the Dead"
Next RNS according to SD ..mid/late June !
How arrogant....more evidence of fiddling while Rome burns
We need his intervention NOW ..not when he has to face his Town Hall fans and idol worshippers
Issue RNS....placate fans ...."Get me outta here..I'm a CEO"...rinse and repeat
You really are hitting the mark with all your posts........we have been fooled by the smell of big money and the " once in a lifetime" crap.
SD is out forthe Aussie IIs and not us longstanding ( now suffering big time) investors. How do you get rid of him though without destroying the share price further ?
The first thing SD needs to do is to postpone ( or scrap) this ludicrously timed ASX listing that takes the focus away from UK sharegolders and pampers to the Aussie public/II where SD focus obviously lies. Cant he see this is not the time to rasie cash/devote time and energy/refocus etc...a blind man could see that. Fiddling while Rome burned springs to mind !! Very angry and feel the wrong man is in charge!!
Why so happy that you can top up ? Once it reaches 5p you will be saying the same thing again
This share has become a drain on money and the once golden egg has been smashed to bits by SD

Well put..please send to Management of GGP on my behalf !
Agreed...it does nothing to help the share recover...but what does help exactly ? I am at a oss
Not part of a conspiracy..just part of me realising I bought into the hype with some reseach of my own that has proved to be erroneous.
I am not after being filtered by anyone. Been here 7 years, kept topping up every few months and used to recommend GGP to anyone who would listen...was excited by its prospects and believed in the management. Now I have simply run out of patience,...thinking of selling at a huge loss and I think that I must have been getting carried away with all the hype. Enough is enough...this share is indeed special...it has a terrible recent track record ..period ! The hype I see now really grates and it must be the same for all non belivers, especially those that were staunch defenders and promters of this wondershare.
Yes...but without sounding idiotically naive..how do we know that SD has this covered in a watertight agreement and that Newmont lawyers dont see a loophole that could be exploited to GGP disadvantage ? In truth..that is what I fear most..dont trust SD and trust Newmont even less. SD track record does not reassure me and I can see the market thinks so as well

I believe this is why we are falling. The market know this and it is more than a little concerning
Re..."We all have to hope that GGP will turn this around. What choice do we have. The GGP team will be commended if they get the SP back up to an acceptable price, say 20p. We all win including management."
Acceptable price = loss for me. What happened to the wild dreams of £1.44 etc? What happened to the current market value being reflected by net asset value arguemt ? Has anyone on this board ever dared to attrubue a price to GGP once poduction is fully under way ? 40p or 50 p perhaps...no I dont think so ..more like 5p or 6 p methinks based on previous chart performance verses level of expected performance. We shouldnt be thinking of "turning this around " and hoping things will happen..we need more certainty and I blame SD
Examples of unexpected mothballing
- Petropavlovsk (LSE: POG.L - news) postponed development of a major processing hub in Russia's far east in May as it sought to keep a lid on debt and spending after the steep drop in the price of gold
Barrick Gold Corp announced in October it was to mothball its huge Pascua-Lama project on the border of Chile and Argentina. The company had been counting on the facility to provide a large share of its future gold production. Pascua-Lama was expected to produce up to 850,000 ounces of gold annually in its first five years.
- Anglo American (LSE: AAL.L - news) said in September it was pulling out of the development of the Pebble gold and copper mine in Alaska.
Sorry to be too negative and somewhat controversial but I am beginning to think that there is a good chance that the HAV project will be mothballed along with Telfer and maybe never goes into production if Newmont think they have better uses for their money and dont want to divest their 70% at this juncture
Sorry,,but I do belive that is a possibility,
The share price rose to over 35p without an ASX listing and we are much more advanced now. Why do we need it then...we just dont need the uncertainty SD seems to attract and we will be fine
