Hi folks,
I watch with interest here the many contributors who do a great job of explaining to those of us investors that dont have a good grasp of the technical aspects of fracking, etc
So I am a bit surprised that there have been no comments on this mornings press release. I was sure there would be a load of analysis and comments on the release, but nothing so far.
It would appear to be positive news, but am i missing something?
Thanks again to all for the detailed and informative postings here.

Operational Update on Amungee NW-2H Drilling
23 December 2022 – Falcon Oil & Gas Ltd. (TSXV: FO, AIM: FOG) is pleased to announce that drilling operations, including casing and cementing, at the Amungee NW-2H (“A2H”) well have been successfully completed. The A2H well has been drilled to a total depth (TD) of 3,883 metres, including a 1,275-metre horizontal section within the Amungee Member B Shale (formerly known as the Middle Velkerri B-shale), in the Beetaloo Sub-Basin, Northern Territory, Australia with Falcon Oil & Gas Australia Limited’s joint venture partner, Tamboran (B1) Pty Limited (“Tamboran”).
Key points to note:
The A2H well intersected the Amungee Member B Shale at 2,413 metres vertical depth.
Preliminary drilling data confirms elevated gas shows with high concentration C1, (methane) observed.
Drilling was completed in 38 days (spud to TD) and a total cost of A$14.1 million (excluding casing and cementing), slightly ahead of pre-drill design days and budget. Falcon remains fully carried for the cost of these operations.
Up to 24 stimulation stages are planned within the Amungee Member B Shale when operations are expected to resume in the first quarter of 2023, subject to weather conditions.
Stimulation and flow testing of the A2H well over the 1,275-metre horizontal section will enhance the joint venture’s understanding of the potential commerciality of the Amungee Member B Shale.
The joint venture is currently undertaking a comprehensive review of all available data before finalising the location of the final well under the Stage 3 work programme, targeted to be drilled in 2023.
Philip O’Quigley, Falcon’s CEO, commented:
“We are delighted that the joint venture’s new operator, Tamboran Resources Limited, has successfully drilled and cased the Amungee NW-2H well and look forward to the next phase of operations with the fracture stimulation in the New Year and obtaining productions rates that would support the joint venture moving to a multi-well pilot development program in 2023/2024. We will continue to update the market as results become available.”
Ends.

MELBOURNE (Reuters) – An Australian court declared void grants that the federal government awarded to a subsidiary of Empire Energy Group for exploration drilling in the Beetaloo shale basin in the Northern Territory.
“The Court declares that the Commonwealth’s decision dated 9 September 2021 to enter into three contracts with the third respondent is invalid,” Justice John Griffiths of the Federal Court of Australia said in a judgment delivered on Friday.
The order came in a case brought by the Environment Centre NT Inc against Resources Minister Keith Pitt alleging that he had failed to make proper inquiries before granting Imperial Energy A$21 million ($15 million) for its Northern Territory fracking programme.

Hi,
I am a long term holder of this stock, and check in on this discussion forum from time to time to keep up to date with developments, informed opinions, etc. Many thanks for all the people who take time to post here.
Whilst there are some very helpful discussion here, there can also from time to time be heated debates on issues and questions that people on this board could not answer, but vent their frustrations here as they have nowhere else to go to for information. (Some issues raised, or questions asked, have be brought up a number of times over the past couple of years.
With the Falcon AGM to be held on 12th November would it be opportune to use the AGM as an opportunity for a member of this forum to ask specific questions of the Falcon Board . I am no expert on AGM Protocol, but if a list of questions were submitted in a timely manner (Per AGM Governance) to Falcon, then we may get answers to recurring questions / criticism raised on this forum.
Submitting questions in advance would be the right thing to do, so the Board could consider their reply in advance, and could therefore give a more meaningful answer, rather than questions coming out of the blue at the actual AGM. (I don't know how long in advance these might have to be submitted).
If this approach was to be taken a member of the forum would have to collate the questions from the other forum posters and then send on to Falcon, and also attend the AGM - vis Conference Call.
Whilst I have raised this suggestion, I definitely would not be the right person to do this as my knowledge of the subject matter would not be sufficient to properly represent the views, or raise questions on behalf of this forum.
Finally - this is simply a suggestion - if it gets traction - great, if not- so be it. Regards.
