In other shares when the so drops like it has this week, the bod issue an end to say either they know why it has dropped or no reason why it has dropped and usually inset a snippet of news to stabilise the share.

I think this is required now.

Could we have just tapped into the edge of the north sea basin???
Yorkshire seems to sit on the weat side of the Zechstein basin, were most of the north sea gets its oil and gas from. Mainly the permian period. This is where the 65m column of hydrocarbons/condensate was discovered at WN, the kirkham abby formation sits in the middle of the permian period.

I am probably completely wrong but, could it be north sea oil??????

I have just been thinking, if the wireline testing takes us to September, then the ewt 4-8 weeks athen results, means that wressle will start straight after WN, should be a good end to the year.

I thought that with rumours going around of talk of a take over, after a few days, the company usually release a statement either confirming or denying the rumours. Lets see what happens.

I wonder if rathlin will be chemically analysing the composition of the gas and comparing it to the producing gas fields nearby. Could use this as an estimate to see how big the field could be. Places like:- Trumfleet Caythorpe Malton. Would be nice if we matched one of them

I have been thinking that the exclusion zone is more likely to be to stop people putting sensitive information on social media. With the drones and telescopic lenses that people have got, i just think its one way to stop people viewing what is going on before it is officially released.

Still looks like a lot of trades missing. Volume says 221 mil. Buys and sales total 148 mil. Plus the 10mil trade means around 63 mil in missing trades. I can see more big trades popping up through out the day

I have just seen that Ineos are planning to drill to a depth of 2800m to the same formations as where this drill is going to. They are applying to drill 75 miles south-west fron West newton to look for gas. Are they thinking that they are drilling into the same reservoir as west newton....... If so, that would be a massive discovery. What do you guys think?

It sounds like they want to buy up land and farm out to get a percentage of the oil produced for 0 costs and risk. They could stipulate that they need to drill within 12 months before the option to get the extra acreage expires. Then get the extra acreage and farm that out as well. If it shows to have a few successful drills them we can get our own producing wells and get 100% of the oil. This sounds like a smart move to me.

By now, i would have thought they would have had some rought initial figures for the development plan. Maybe they are indicating that the oil goes in a certain direction and this is where this option to buy is where it goes. If the initial findings aren't good for the development plan then surely they would not bother with this expansion. Like others have said, they need to get the drill bit turning on these leases
