If you were looking to 'secure a large holding' in a major discovery you would look to do it during the 'orphan period' when there is a general drop, after euphoria of discovery/drill results/and confirmations, in sp which can easily be manipulated to a larger drop affecting sentiment. Generally the downward curve following discovery, on the Lassonde curve seems excessive so I wonder if the above applies but is not listed as a reason for the drop on curve examples - stating other factors for the drop. At some point tough those manipulating the sp have to change tack, from shorting/suppression to investing, possibly at FS as Gerryjo has mentioned. This has a dramatic effect on sp as can be seen on the curve which again, IMO, is more dramatic than just the institutions coming in (as mentioned on the curve) than should be the case.
Just my thoughts, and maybe not that coherent sorry, on current sp action. Would be interested in constructive feedback.
Oh would love to see another large discovery confirmed to completely F.U. the curve:)
