Stock watch: Adept 4

IT services firm Adept 4 is in talks to buy online data storage company Cloudcoco.

Adept 4 – which announced the early-stage takeover discussions after a rise in its share price – has proposed issuing 218m shares to acquire Cloudcoco if it goes ahead with the all-share purchase.

The deal will need to get approval from investors though the Cheshire-based firm has stressed there’s no guarantee it will go ahead.

Shares in Adept 4 rocketed up 113.8 per cent, or 1.65p, to 3.1p.

(Alliance News) - Sapphire and gemstones firm Richland Resources PLC on Thursday said two milestones for its sale of a project to Fura Gems Inc have been passed.

Richland announced the sale of the Capricorn sapphire project, in Queensland, Australia, to Fura in late June.

Fura has an option, for CAD150,000, or GBP89,920, to buy the project until July 31. It has so far paid CAD25,000 of that, with CAD125,000 pending as it requires Toronto Stock Exchange approval.

It would cost Fura USD185,000 in cash and 4.9 million Fura shares should it go ahead with the deal.

The deal would make Richland a cash shell, and a day after the Fura announcement said it will look to secure debt or equity funding to buy a new mining project.

The two conditions passed are a "no objection" letter from the Bermuda Monetary Authority and the renewal of the two main licences at Capricorn, ML 70419 and ML 70447, to March 2024.
One of the remaining conditions remains the approval of Richland shareholders. The company is currently in talks with Fura to expedite the transaction and thereby shorten the period to completion.
Richland shares were 4.0% higher on Thursday at a price of 0.078 pence each.

Thus, with a market cap at sub-?750,000, serious players on board, a projected cash pile of ?1.1m, and a bullish precious metals market (as the global economy moves towards a recession) that is ripe for a substantial reverse takeover, Richland Resources is profoundly mispriced. So go LONG and take advantage of this market anomaly.

Lord Aschroft is a large holder through his vehicle Strand Associates. He first invested in TLA when it floated on AIM at 20p and at the end of 2011.

Lord Ashcroft and Nigel Wray increased their holdings further in Summer 2015 when the share price was between 40-60p.
Lord Aschroft acquired a further 2.40 million + 575,000 shares as per RNS.
Nigel Wray increased his holding by around 1.30 million shares.

Gatemore is an activist investor.....as far as TLA is concerned, they have long purchased large numbers of shares at 14p and 20.5p last year.

One thing is for sure, TLA is not short of backers and its share register reads like a copy of Who’s Who, with Lord Ashcroft, the former Conservative party treasurer, and Nigel Wray, chairman of Saracens rugby club, both investors.

The great stuff for us is that Nigel Wray, Lord Aschroft, and Gatemore Capital could all be involved in our RTO.
