...cannot understand why there isn’t more activity here even despite Cannacord. 30 days is nearly up, CFO is in face to face negotiations, port is up and running well.

Getting a contract over the line always take til the 11th hour but I can’t help but suspect that that point is the end of this week. CFO will want to wrap it up this week to announce to the market on Monday morning. WWTBOOTW has never been more true.

C’est la vie. None of this changes the fact that the CFO is on the ground in Ghana finalising the contract. Get that over the line this week and Cannacord is old news.

Not sure why PF needs to there. CFO can quite easily sign or can get PF to sign on counterpart if really want CEO’s name on the paper.

News that CFO is in Ghana next week is new.

I agree that one needs to take PF’s optimism with a very hefty pinch of salt but it’s still a positive that he seems confident.

I also don’t think he sounded grumpy. I think he’s just trying to be a little cautious and at times failing to contain his knowing smirk.
Don’t often wish the weekend away but looking forward to next week!

Foxy, have you ever dealt with a lawyer?? Even if the main points are agreed you should never underestimate a lawyer’s ability to argue over the placing of a comma or the wording of a non-operative recital!

“Exchanged draft contracts” for me means that one party has produced a draft and the other has returned a mark-up, so both parties know where the other stands and how major the outstanding elements are. My money is on the FD being out there with a team of lawyers to try and finalise the terms for his wet signature.

It might not come this week but must be squeaky bum time for those that are out at the start of next week. Esp if most things had been agreed at heads of term stage in the LOI.
