Brilliant to get news going into the weekend!
Leaves me excited for a Monday - which is definitely a rarity!
Thanks RichKen,
Well that adds to the excitement for the next 6 days!!
Hi RichKen
Hope you do not mind me asking but what were you questions that Chika came back with a response on which suggest imminent news?
No problem Serenus.
Could potentially be one of the greatest advertisments for VRFBs if Vametco is powered in that way! The mention surrounding carbon footprint continues to imply that Lemur might get spun off as many on here have previously mentioned.
bassguy hopefully this could potentially be one of the reasons why from the shipments data that Ophidian etc look at seems a tad light.
Unsure if this has already been posted / discussed.
But there is an article from Mikhail out discussing Eskom etc.
https://www.businesslive.co.za/bd/opinion/2019-03-21-vanadium-powered-batteries-waiting-to-rescue-eskom/
The closing paragraph is very interesting:
In addition to supporting the government and Eskom, Bushveld Minerals, which owns the Vametco vanadium mine near Brits, is planning to install its own solar/VRFB minigrid for the mine. This will be a commercial proof of the concept, reduce its carbon footprint and provide protection against rising electricity tariffs and interruptions. The mine will supply the vanadium for the project, showcasing how SA minerals can be used to solve the country’s power challenges.
Thanks Ophidian.
Be interesting to know peoples speculations regarding this. We could potentially be shipping more worldwide than previously etc.
I am looking forward to the actual Q1 figures being released and them being a nice marker for the year ahead.
It genuinely surprises me how many different people come on here to try and bait / insult people on this BB who take the time to share their own research and opinions.
I am really thankful for the quality contributions that the vast majority of posters provide. I did not invest here simply based on what was said on this board - and if this share does not reach the heights I hope it does - I definitely will not be blaming anyone here.
Alfacomp you have just reassured me even further about this investment. The "smaller" VRFB projects could be where our bread and butter is rather than a massive project taking over 100% of our (current) production of Vanadium.
I remember reading an article about the amount of Vanadium that was needed for certain VRFBs and thinking that was over multiple years of current production. As someone who has much to learn that made me question how it would be feasible for us to do that but the Tesla analogy drives home the way to look at it..
Thank you.
Hi Cindercone,
I really agree with what you have said - I think we are in for a hugely transformative year (again!) but for BE to take off to the extent we all hope the cost could be a defining factor.
I am excited for the future of the share and am sat here on a figure that I define as life changing. Seeing balanced posts like this are a positive as it reminds me of the risks involved and reading the articles and posts from Alfa, RichKen, Ophidian, BigBiteNow, NickDerby etc help to emphasise why I have put my money here.
Thank you Alfa - very interesting piece. Looking forward to part 2. I am so excited to see what Bushveld will do in the energy space, I cannot stop myself from constantly reading everything on this board and on Bushveld Perspective!
Thanks RichKen,
I personally have not been involved with a share with a dividend policy. This is a great example to see.
To me this shows that while the company is working on multiple different aspects including some out of their direct control (mokopone permit) they should not be hindered in giving some sort of framwork.
Enjoyed the confidence displayed from the site visitors - closing line regarding how to mine is going to be here for a long long time is always reassuring to hear.
Thanks for replies and help Ophidian, pb940 and Daisan.
Really appreciate it.
Been holding shares here for over about 18 months but this is the first time I am posting.
First a thank you to all the posters here this BB has been a wealth of knowledge and I continue to learn more about this share on a daily basis.
Fear this is silly question but last night Swizz and Halespur referenced an article Brandon Hill which compared grade % for various Vanadium players. The Bushveld % seemed relatively low compared to a few of the others and I was under the impression our grade was much higher than this. Would appreciate any information anyone could provide on this?
Thanks
