In profit on this trade only lol

I bought CCL last week and I’m down on them and my second purchase of Lloyds

I really hope this US blockade doesn’t cause a huge escalation in the Middle East

STP thanks. Will buy again when things in the Middle East have settled down even if I end up paying more for the shares

I just decided it wasn’t clever to use all my funds with the uncertainty of such a volatile situation

108622 shares sold at 100.3648 p

Bought for £105000 sold for £109007.25

Profit £4007.25 plus will get £2639.51 dividend

Total profit £6646.76

The others I bought the day before the dividend are sitting at a slight loss so will hold these for now

I know the buy price is averaged out but I’ve always bought and sold separating them like this and they are in an isa so my dodgy accounting doesn’t have tax implications :)

Just bought another 52820 shares at 103.342

I expect they will drop by more than the dividend in the morning and they’ve already dropped since I bought

I’m hoping peace will hold in the Middle East as I think the US want out

Yes understood and believe me I didn’t post this morning to gloat it was actually relief after a risky buy and I’m still not convinced the ceasefire will lead to anything permanent so I may well regret it. I’ve made more than my fair share of bad decisions before

Yes we were busy travelling towing our caravan for a few days in Broadway and I just jumped into Lloyd’s last minute. I sold Lloyds previously at just over 70p and put money into CCL which was doing really well and I still sold at a profit but a lot less than they had been prior to the recent events. I’d probably of been better to stay in Lloyds

Decided to jump in at a risky point late yesterday with the dividend in mind. £105000 at 96.17p

Every shareholder should receive a booklet regardless of how your shares are held. Shareholders with shares held in an ISA or SIPP still get a booklet but the broker will provide details. My husbands are in a AJ Bell SIPP and mine are with Halifax ISA and we’ve both received them
