"operators must be affiliated with a land-based licensee." No brainer really, just a matter of when #CalExpo #Genius
What we know about sports betting partnerships in New Jersey What we know about legal sports betting in New Jersey is that it can take place only in designated sports betting areas of licensed racetracks and casinos. Online betting will be permitted 30 days later, with the caveat that operators must be affiliated with a land-based licensee. That last point is the reason for the flurry of partnerships weve seen in the last few weeks as third-party sports betting operators look to get a skin in the game, while racetracks and casinos search for software providers to support their ambitions for digital offerings. Shortly after PASPA was struck down, Sen. Sweeney sponsored a sports betting bill (SB 2602) that would set the following rules for the industry: Allows for licensed state casinos and horse racing tracks to support land-based, mobile, and online sports wagering. Online wagering will go into effect 30 days after the bills passage, while other forms of wagering will be allowed immediately. Sets the tax rate to 8.5% for brick and mortar casinos, 13% for online wagering. Restricts the number of individually branded websites, or skins, an operator can support to three. Prohibits casinos/racetracks that own a sports team from participation. Other limitations exist for potential operators with a vested interest in a sports franchise. On June 7, both the House and the Senate are expected to vote on the sports betting bill. The bill is expected to pass easily and then be sent to Gov. Murphys desk for an immediate signing. If all goes according to plan, the first legal sports bet could take place on June 8. https://www.njonlinegambling.com/nj-casino-partnerships-dominate-preamble-to-bill-passage/ https://www.njonlinegambling.com/sports-betting/
Now I obviously have no clue on who has these and at what price now a days, but from the admission document - they came to market at 45p "15. The Placing and Undertakings by Principal Shareholders 6,666,667 new Ordinary Shares representing 8.53 per cent of the enlarged issued share capital of the Company have been conditionally placed at 45p per share by English Trust pursuant to the Placing Agreement, the principal terms of which are summarised in paragraph 7(e) of Part IV of this document. The Placing Shares will, when issued, rank pari passu in all respects with the existing issued Ordinary Shares. The Placing will raise approximately 2,510,000 net of expenses for the Company. The Placing is conditional, inter alia , on Admission taking place. Immediately following Admission, the Directors and their associates will be interested in 26,568,600 Ordinary Shares, representing 33.98 per cent of the then issued Ordinary Shares. The Directors, persons connected with them and certain principal shareholders have undertaken that they will not sell or otherwise dispose of any part of their respective interests in the Ordinary Shares held immediately preceding the Placing for a period of up to twelve months following Admission." They couldn't sell for 12 months 12 months later the share price was 14p Then 28.50 was the highest close on 18th May 2001 - The share price hasn't closed above this since

Additionally, to replace the temporaryshareholder financing announced in June 2004" http://www.webisholdingsplc.com/2004/10/19/news-180/ "The Company received notification on 1 December 2003 that one of its non-executive directors, Mr Mark Child, sold 1,150,000 ordinary shares in betinternet at 9p per share, representing 0.98% interest on 28 November 2003. The sale of these shares was prompted by the directors need to raise cash for pressing personal reasons. Following this transaction Mr Child no longer holds any shares in betinternet. The Company was also notified on 1 December that Burnbrae Limited (Burnbrae) acquired 1,100,000 shares on 28 November 2003. As a result of this purchase of shares, Burnbrae is interested in 26,100,000 shares in the Company, representing 22.38% of its issued ordinary share capital. Mr Denham Eke, chairman of betinternet, is also managing director of Burnbrae, a private investment company." Seems to be a load of different times they bought in ... there's just a few examples. Jim did say on twitter to me that they've been "buying all the way down" so I'd love to know what the average is?!
Kev I am not sure but given the SP etc .. I agree with you from my perspective, this is the only risk at the moment
Hi Chilston Burnbrae are funding this and have done for 15 years Owned by Jim Mellon Own 63% of the company (Jim has also purchased shares in his own name, check my post history for the info around 2003) In short - Every time they issue shares, they are diluting their own holding. Last funding was a loan from Jim Mellon to the company - 24th feb 2017 It would be unusual if they let anyone else in to take a piece of the pie (IMO) My theory is that they have been buying the shares off the other share holders and will soon acquire over 75% and have to make an offer for the company, few on here believe this will happen, webis goes private and lists in America.. all just theories at the moment of course we don't know what's happening until official RNS's As they are in the IOM they have up to 30 days to declare positions .. I've done calculations on previous posts which shows 20m shares switching hands about 2-3 weeks ago, personally i am expecting a TR1 by the end of next week No investment advice intended, just my own personal thoughts. http://www.webisholdingsplc.com/major-shareholders/ http://www.webisholdingsplc.com/news-archive/ - historical news releases back to 2000

Well it's all going on right now in the USA .. Delaware will take bets from 1:30 pm today! "New Jersey last month won a Supreme Court case overturning a federal law that limited sports betting to only four states. States are now free to pass laws legalizing gambling. New Jersey lawmakers hope to legalize betting by the end of this week in their race to be among the first states to offer sports betting at casinos and racetracks following the court ruling. Delaware plans to take sports bets starting Tuesday. Just three weeks after the U.S. Supreme Court decision that cleared the way for states to offer legalized sports betting, Delaware will start taking bets on professional sports including baseball, football, hockey, basketball, soccer, golf, and auto racing. Delaware is prepared to move forward, said Rick Geisenberger, secretary of the state Department of Finance which oversees the Delaware Lottery. The first bets will be taken on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Delaware Park, Dover Downs, and Harrington Raceway. Delaware Gov. John Carney said in a statement the state has all of the legal and regulatory authority to move forward." Now is not the time to be selling IMHO

No I am not saying that I am clever enough to pick big winners.. I've had my fair share of multi baggers this last year alone I think it's been about 10 + & I agree with you, it's very rare .. Aim is sentiment driven, and yes it's a good idea to trade I was just dismissing your statement that "ou need to forget about being a long term holder in aim stocks" as there has proven to be some good among the absolute sh** A good plan is to invest what you "can afford to lose" - (hate that expression) but any spare cash you may have and invest in these penny stocks early, and forget about them / set sell trigger points and not be greedy. But everyone has their own strategies and financial requirements
