The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Poor results, organic sales down 16%.
Cash in the bank is positive
Route forward as suggested puzzles me as it doesn't address any of the issues mentioned that explain -16%
followed by a total U-turn.
Well done, Windows. Nice to see some factual posters here (though a minority)
typical AM1: he starts with a statement of fact (people are shutting ), then gets pulled up on yet again misrepresenting the truth, and now says..." well I think it is possible "
Facts and AM1, it just isn't happening, is it?
I agree it is not good news, just news.
I am not remotely excited by it. What is in there that is great? The RNS reads as if written my a junior marketeer who loves spending money but doesn't care about the financial impact (or lack thereof).
What is for sure it that it smell like "spending up, cash burn up".
What amazes me about this CEO is the sheer discontent for shareholders. She has spent your hard earned money on marketing since March (4,5 months almost) and not a single word about the financial performance.
Instead this waffle.
As always, it is not what is in the RNS that is important, it is what is not in it:
- No financial about the 4.5 months of marketing
- No sales update
- No update on cash in the bank.
Just to say "hey we are spending more money"....you got to wonder why....maybe another RNS is coming soon (placing anyone?)
*has
I am surprised no here is mentioned that they are expecting an RNS with a quarterly trading update. After all, CBX has now 3 months of the long awaited and debated marketing campaign under its belt. Surely if there was good news to share, they would have done so by now? Doesn't strike me as overly confident that they haven't done so?
*To tell
"ignore the negative " That is probably the single worst investment advice I have ever heard. Investing is all about managing risks, and with that comes a laser sharp focus on identifying "the negative". The tell someone to ignore them is almost criminal. It is like saying: please cross the road with your eyes closed. Madness.
Speaking about placing: I would like to change my SP prediction...(really feel a "let's give peeps a second chance round" is in order )
That would require integrity.
Very sad, and yet, this is exactly the kind of financial death trap that some blatant rampers will cause.
Come on, Alf...you know this won't happen. Not because of a market cap below 700k at least. They simply need to do a raise to avoid that 700k. There are plenty of examples where small caps keep the lights on by issuing equity raise, after equity raise
judging by the SP there doesn't seem to be much market confidence in BAR's new story.
A merger between 2 failed entities doesn't mean that the newco will be any better off. Leveraging each other's distribution makes sense but only if the products of both companies perform well in the market place and they don't. They seem to me to be present in competitive categories and their low margins do not allow for lots of marketing investments
"If the company delivers".
Even the most optimistic have to acknowledge that this is a big "if" though. No evidence as of yet the can deliver.
Let's see what the next trading update reveals
So you are seriously suggesting that Anna would send information about the launch of new products, which is price sensitive information , not via an RNS, but via Primary Bid. Wow.
I agree with Cupid, you assume too much.
And BTW, it would seem really odd to announce new product launches via Primary Bid, as opposed to via an RNS, don't you think?
I mean what message is she sending if that were the case?
1. "I don't care what shareholders think, I will disrespect them by not communicating it the official way?"
2." Mr Primary Bid, I will need your help to raise cash soon. Fancy a scoop?"
All conjecture off course, for a bit of fun, but so is your conclude Am01, that this is a proper new news story about previously unannounced launches. Unless any of my above mentioned jokes are true ...
Is that information that has been previously disclosed in an RNS?
hilarious
Yeah, but you are only saying that because CBX lost almost 93% of its market cap. None of this is a concern for Candle.
From the RNS dated, 24/5:
"The Company is in detailed discussions with both a rig operator and service companies with the objective of drilling the Tai prospect in Q3/Q4 2022, before the commencement of the rainy season.
