Whilst I would like to buy back at this price, I am waiting until after 30th October to see what impact the budget may have upon retailers. Headlines such as , The National Minimum Wage (NMW) is set to increase from 1 April 2025 to between £11.82 to £12.39 an hour to reflect the cost of living under Labour's Plan to Make Work Pay. At the top end this represents nearly another £1 increase per hour for the over 21’s. For holders at this price I hope that it works out for you, I don’t want to loose my existing profit by purchasing while this uncertainly persists.

Yes, you are both right but the Halloween offering was pretty non existant as well. I hope that the management know what they are doing, but Christmas in store products gets earlier and earlier each year, just look around.

Having been lucky selling my last Card Factory shares at 140p after they spiked by 7p i was considering buying again at about 90p. Today I visited two of their shops in Solihull in the West Midlands and was extremely disappointed at their lack of Christmas offering . Apart from cards and balloons there wasn’t much else contrary to what management describe as their gift offerings. Sadly I think the best is over for the share price but for all those who have held on I hope that I am wrong.

When did Marshall Wace increase their short? On the 20th August they reduced their short to 0.5% which maybe lower now. If I had bought in the eighties I would be selling at least some of my shares as I have done with those bought at 96p. Still looking good, hopefully they will continue upwards once selling pressure subsides.

I don’t want a trading update, as you may recall on the 16th January 2024 the high for the day was 114.8p and finished at 95.7p which was when I purchased my holding. The update was good but for whatever reason the market disagreed and provided a buying opportunity. I’ll happily wait until results day although I am temped to crystallise the profit on half of my holding.

Surely this rise doesn’t just reflect the sale of shares to Brett and the Just Eat partnership. There must, hopefully, be more going on to propel this further.

Firstly I no longer hold any VTU shares having sold when they recovered from last December’s fall. I met one of my neighbours today who I did not know was a very senior manager of VTU. I should add that I knew he had a very senior position somewhere. He was wearing a VTU tee shirt so I took the opportunity to mention their shares and current share price. He mentioned the share price drop upon the sale by the CEO’s wife. Apparently the sale was to pursue other investment opportunities. Hope this answers some of your concerns.

I agree with your comments that 120p would be a disappointing outcome but I just cannot see what is going to move the dial here.

Unfortunately, however good the financials, many AIM small caps are just not rewarded with a realistic valuation. Poor investment coverage, low number of daily trades and low interest from fund managers all conspire to keep the share price from gaining any momentum.

Like you I will continue to hold in the hope that one day the share price appreciates to reflect growing profits . Perhaps a catalyst maybe a sale of their private and quoted investments, I’m sure there has to be a better way to utilise that capital resource.

It really doesn’t matter how good the update is as nothing moves this share price. Tamesis Partners might be sticking to their 160p price target but it carries very little weight. My advice to the Capital board is, take this private and you can have my shares for 120p.

What I don’t understand is either Marshall Wace shorted 0.51% on results day or added to a previous short which resulted in the short being reported. Either way they would have been aware of the dividend that has to be paid back to the lender. It just makes no sense to me but I am obviously missing something here.

Hopefully todays move is indicative of good results tomorrow and we do not lose this gain. Shorters too hopefully have called it wrong.

Bought this after the last trading update as the share price fall appeared to be an unfair over reaction . The reinstatement of the dividend and positive forward guidance only reafirms this. As others have said, we should over the coming months see a rerate of the share price and in the meantime I will add on any weakness.

Wonder what tomorrow will bring. Would really like to see some volume here to justify the move upwards.

According to the FT Wia Gold is up 238.16% over the last year. It would be nice to be able to say the same for Capital Drilling. Quoted 98.2 to sell so heading in the right direction.

Good find Rivaldo. Interesting that the date of publication was the 31st March so probably does not account for the increasing share price of late. Would love to know what is encouraging buyers at these prices. Just noticed the ask has surged to 99p, hope that the ask follows.

Somewhat surprised at the strong share price today especially as the stock is now ex dividend, perhaps some are now beginning to realise the hidden value here.

Not too bad with reiterated yearly revenue. Also ex dividend today so market reaction not at present repeating the usual drop.

I am just as keen as you to see the increase in share price but fail to see how it can be linked to an unrealised asset. The price of gold could possibly fall just as easily as it has increased.

There have of late been some sizeable sales/purchases quite often above the bid/ask price which does beg the question why. Hopefully we will continue to see some increase in the share price.
