From The Telegraph today:
Sir John Bell, who is part of the Oxford University vaccine team, says UK manufacturers should try harder at making working lateral flow tests.
René Kamminga, C EO of OptiBiotix Limited, commented : "We are very pleased to announce our BRC accreditation which supports our commercial strategy of selling final product solutions to partners in the retail channel containing our science backed pro and prebiotic ingredients.
The rally came as Rolls:
Finally sold its Spanish business ITP Aero for £1.5billion;
Clinched a £1.9billion contract to supply parts for the US Air Force's fleet of B-52 bombers for the next three decades;
Celebrated after the Government indicated it will plough more cash into its project to build mini nuclear reactors
The triple-whammy is the latest news to boost the Rolls share price this month.
The company has already been lifted by US plans to reopen its borders to Britons and Europeans for the first time since the pandemic hit – kick-starting transatlantic air travel.
Rolls also looks set to play a role in supplying Australia with submarine reactors in the new AUKUS security pact.
The share price is still below the level the group was trading at before the pandemic sent markets into freefall in February 2020 – and is a far cry from its 402p all-time peak in 2014. But the jump indicates Rolls is on track to recover from the worst ravages of the Covid crisis. And it is likely to boost confidence in chief executive Warren East, who has been trying to turn Rolls around ever since he took charge in 2015.

... to a decision to mine, as the high grade drill results continue to flow in.
As if we hadn’t had enough of it already, the positive newsflow from Greatland Gold PLC (LON:GGP) just keeps on coming.
Just over a week ago the company’s joint venture partner at the Havieron discovery in Western Australia, Newcrest Mining Ltd (ASX:NCM) commenced construction of a decline that’s designed to go down all the way to the top of the mineralization.
Lest there be any doubt, this is not just a mere exploration decline.
Rather, with dimensions of six metres by five point seven meters, this is a decline that’s designed ultimately to facilitate mining.
No decision to mine’s yet been made, but the pieces of the jigsaw are falling into place such that it’s pretty clear now what kind of picture Newcrest thinks it’s putting together.
Newcrest, after all, has been pushing ahead at breakneck speed ever since it bought into the Havieron project, and the latest set of drill results, published on 10 June give a pretty clear indication as to why.
Among the highlights from this latest batch of assays was 85 metres at 11 grams per tonne gold and 0.29% copper – an exceptional result that would be the standout intercept at any other project. But Havieron has been yielding up results of that ilk or better almost since day one, when Greatland first punched its maiden hole down through the overburden all those years ago.
