So here we are 10 days into drilling and we re either the new Saudi of helium or a sinking ship because our share price dropped by .4 of a pence. I suggest a nice cup of coffee in front a couple of episodes of a place in the sun.
The last time I saw this much panic was on space mountain at Disney world just before we took off. The shoulder restraints were down and we were all wondering what we d done. Too late to get off now.
We are unlikely to be anywhere near TD and early shows won’t mean an awful lot given the experience of Tai1. I expect however there is a good deal of scepticism around what happened at Tai 1 and 2 so I suspect what’s needed here rather than more PR around the drill is an actual discovery. And that we re unlikely to hear about until next week at the earliest. I think patience is required until the grand reveal.
If it wasn’t for Lorna we probably wouldn’t own our own rig in the process of drilling the first of 2 holes. I guess the price would be something similar to now with DM still hunting for a containerised rig solution. Alf course some things could have been better but here we are days from finding out whether we really do have something magnificent. Of course people are nervous but after 3 years I want to know what’s down there and she has brought us to that point.
Great update video. People worried about radio silence and some didn’t like the hype during the last drill. In my opinion this was spot on- everything’s going to plan don’t worry in essence. Hopefully more photos next week followed my an interim TD update.
If we dropped that interview our share price wouldn’t double. It would probably go up a fraction of a pence followed by a chorus of you betcha on this very board. At this point we need a discovery not hype. Then we can move to considered PR.
I think a lot of external factors are affecting the share performance also. The investing environment is very risk off at the moment and of course exploration is one of the more risky investments generally. The Aim market as a whole has declined significantly since the first drill. I’m not convinced the share price was ever going to react in the same way. And of course the first drill outcome will add to the sense of risk even though we are in a much better position with the O&G rig. When we get that confirmed discovery then this changes fundamentally
A number of photos of Lorna on site who in my opinion has delivered on every promise she has made so far. The communication feels much more professional than last time so I won’t be expecting pictures of bubbles or presentations on mud. What we will get I’m sure is factual information potentially sooner than the drills conclusion as they will be constantly testing as They reach TD
“He” doesn’t own his own rig, we do. Our rig is going to be stationed where ever we need it for as long as we need is. His is going back to a British storage yard. We ve got what is generally accepted as preferable drilling locations.Great he s invested loads of his own money but I’d rather own a rig. I’m happy where my money is.
A year ago this was going no where with no sign of a rig hardly any communication and I was sceptical if we would ever drill. A year on and we own our own drill and are within days of spud. In my book Lorna has completely turned this ship around. So there was a dilution and some incentives for the directors. Great if this works out and there is a commercial discovery I hope they are all richly rewarded because without them we d still be stumbling around having trips to Houston looking for non existent rigs.
I could well do without hype or PR. It’s for the day traders I just want to be kept informed of factual developments which I feel I am. Hype and PR might move the share price by a fraction but what will really move the price is when we are told we have spudded we have shows we have a discovery, the rest is just noise. The last drill was hugely hyped but ultimately the price tanked. Let’s get the discovery and then hit the PR.
Yes I remember the picture of him wearing a picture at the departure lounge at the airport during the drill shortly before the washout disaster. The fact the CEO was there didn’t make the blindest bit of difference. I’d rather Lorna stayed where she can be most productive. that’s not necessarily at site.
I’m not too sure what PR people expect Lorna to be doing. We ve had photos f the rig, of ongoing civil work a 360 video with music, presentations interviews I’m not sure what else you want her to be doing pre spud? I do remember the previous CEO swimming in bubbles and doing presentation on mud and frankly could do without it. I want PR when we hit shows and discoveries not now.
You ‘d never guess reading most of todays posts that we ‘re about to drill 2 holes using our very own rig and potentially hit the helium motherload. This is why I invested years ago. I didn’t expect a 2 year odyssey to try to find a rig. So thank you Lorna for doing what the previous CEO couldn’t do and get us to the point of actually drilling the thing.
Well it would be crazy to finally own our own rig and not use it as much as we can before the rainy season. Maybe now we’ll finally know exactly what we have and if it’s as good as we hope we ll all be happy. After all the months of frustration and seemingly no progress I couldn’t be happier.
Hole stability was a massive problem last time which led to a washout. This time they are using an O&G rig and are approaching the drill in a much more informed manner. With everything they learnt last time I’ll be amazed if this results in a washout.
I think the communication has been just right. We shouldn’t need hand holding and we are being told when there is substantive news to report like the rig mobilisation and the crew completion. Last time I remember an image of “Randy being the right man for the job” being posted. I didn’t much want to see him and clearly he wasn’t. It will be incredibly hard to get the communication right during the drill as understandably everyone will be looking for constant updates. LB s doing great so far though.
I m not sure anyone’s suggesting that. Best of luck to traders. But I suggest that there is a large group for whom this is quite straightforward. They want a hole drilled to target depth and then wire lined to hell. If helium is found in commercial volumes and the concept proven then it will be red panty time. And it wont matter how we got there. Personally the obsession around daily prices is not for me but all power to anyone to whom it matters.
