From 26.19. Malcolm Brown, President of The Geologicsal Society explains Chance of Success (CoS) in Prospect evaluation - Uncertainty & Risk
6 factors are required :-
Reservoir presence
Reservoir effectiveness
Source presence
Source effectiveness
Trapped presence
Trapped effectiveness
6 multiples - put in a pretty good 75% for each and multiply them together will only give a CoS of 18%
For Brian to have stated that the CoS is 30% - well, I'm happy with that !!!
See you in London, S.
Lucas, why would they want to sell any ? They had to pay, effectively, 93.5p for each share & at the time were quite happy to do so, as they could see the 'upside potential on a relatively short term'.
Further, they are locked in, by the agreement, to not exceed 29.9% ownership of the company, unless there is a recommendation by the board to do so.

They went for a s??t or bust offshore drill, Foum Assaka, which was a duster. They ran out of money & couldn't find a farm in partner, so they had to relinquish the licence.
They didn't elect to not take up the licence, they couldn't afford to take it up & so had to relinquish it.
Agreed, Jack. The ads were getting really annoying, in fact some even have a script in them saying that you are potentially infected with a virus. I'm using Mozilla Firefox as a browser & it even at one point refused to let me navigate away from this page, trying to get me to download a fix - yeah, right, as if I'm going to do that. Did a search and downloaded the add-on AdBlocker Plus - absolutely wonderful - no ads & it tells you how many are being blocked on the page - currently 16.
