I wonder whether we will see a TRI to say they have increased their stake and done so through taking the warrants. After all, it would make more sense for the Fund to deploy its cash into the company, by generating warrant monies for OMI, than buy on open market? That's a win win for all parties, in that the Fund gets its shares at cheaper prices, and its cash goes into the company, thereby helping its investment?

I am wondering whether this fund that has entered OMI, or funds like Mercs of VC's, would look to position into OMI through buying the warrants. That would seem more fund worthy activity than trying to buy the equivalent on open market at higher prices?

A lot of the selling as this level could be warrants?

As an aside, I was wondering whether large funds wanting to buy into a company like OMI for example, could in theory look to do a fixed deal with warrant holders, as an alternative to buying on market and paying a premium?

Seingred - I haven't done the calcs, but assuming you are correct that there are more funds then raised, could it be warrant monies?

All now hangs on this renegotiation with Cynergy? If that fails, then it's highly likely game over for GCAT.

Gold about to break to all time highs. Gold ETFs are also threatening a breakout from a long base. OMI at the low of the current range. Newsflow is all ahead of us. Screaming buy/add opportunity at this level imho.

Lot more cash than I expected and drilling approval already in the bag for El Pantano. Both plus points for me. Monthly drilling costs will be cheaper than before because rig etc already mobilised and all depends on how much they drill in the north. I’d say they won’t need to raise until much later than expected. When El Pantano geo work is done, OMI will have a nice headache as to where to drill next.

It can't just be CSS though - as they have a total of 7-8 million shares. Even if they sold the lot, it wouldn't cause the share price to nosedive the way it has over quite a long period now. Especially when you consider how many millions more shares have been bought in that time.

Therefore, it has to be a massive short to cause the price to go from 18p to 4p, with a huge number of shares loaned out for that purpose? Who would have such a large amount of shares to loan out for this purpose? Alternatively, its forward selling another placing. I mean, how many times have we seen back to back placings on AIM, with the shares nose dive in between them? All speculation but definitely something is afoot imho.

Nice one Isleworth. I've switched some funds around to do the same tomorrow. Like you, I think we will get some bullish news next week, following which I suspect these prices will be gone. Also think POG might breakout again next week, so it would be a great time for BG to drop some more high grade results and/or announce drilling to the north.

I think it's been setup as a pump and dump, with and by GEX. To be honest, it wouldn't surprise me if the TW stuff was also part of this pump and dump. There has to have been a massive short to get to these price levels, and no way you can achieve that with only the CSS stock. There was a LOT of retail buying between 8p and 10p and the stock was still being sold down when the newsflow was positive.

If they are free shares, then theorestically you can sell for a gain all the way down to zero if you wanted to. The only reason you wouldn't sell at any particular price is if you thought there was upside and more gains to be made by holding? Similarly, if shorting, then of course you keep selling (adding to the short) on the way down and make larger gains on the short the lower the share price goes.

Too many false dawns here. KAV has lost whatever credit it had with most of retail, as they just have been able to deliver on all the talk. Drilling campaigns go from discovery mode back to proof of concept, and so on.

It's now going to take some unequivocally outstanding drilling results to win back retail investment. That's not to say they won't get them with this upcoming drilling in Zim, but the days of 'buying in anticipation' are gone here, and replaced by a more cautious let's see what the RNS's actually deliver. According to the Prospectus, in July, CSS had 1.7 million shares. By November, according to their TR1, they were down to 1.1 million shares. Does this suggest that between July and November, they were offloading?

If so, then you would have to think that there is a possibility that they will similarly offload the 6.4 million free warrants shares as soon as they are able to? That's if they have not been doing so already, because there is clearly a large seller at work here because the price has now hit 4p. Whether it's short selling or just selling of free shares, who knows.

But at the moment it's a lethal combination of long delay, large selling and low confidence. All imo and dyor

I agree re the target in the north and it will be great to get an update from OMI as to when they will commence drilling it.

Complete lack of self discipline and self control on this BB, with another pointless 2 days of airtime given to trolls. To be honest, if you were picking a winner, the two trolls are wiping the floor with the majority of posters on here, because they repeatedly and successfully are able to bait them into responses, and clog up the BB in the process, which is their primary aim. There is no contest at the moment. It would be understandable if it was new posters doing the responding, but it's actually BB regulars who really should know better.

Maybe both sides have a 'need' for each other - but how adults can't exercise self control when dealing with lunatics is beyond my comprehension. One can only hope that you are able to control your emotions and show more discipline when it comes to your trading and investing.

Very harsh that Silver - you never seem to engage with the points being made. This is a discussion BB after all, not your private playground. Some of us are now very wary of this outfit. I'm an ex holder and fully entitled to my views, and they happen to be negative because that's been my experience of this company.

Tell me what's positive about delays, inconsistent RNS, large sellers and significant share price decline?

I'm increasingly of the view that this has been setup as a pump and dump. What remains to be seen if there is a genuine project and drilling at the end of it (i.e. pump, dump and then pump again).
