TSX up 20% on very high volume - and just when I thought they were done. It will be a nice play between us and our Canadian comrades as to which of us drives OMI higher each week this year.

So far, scores are equal as they caused the move up this week, but London was responsible for the initial rise from 2.5p levels. But they might win today as well by the looks of it.

Between us, this 10.5 resistance will get taken out in no short time you would think.

I'm going to wait for official news as Hamilton has gone MIA of late, which makes me nervous. Be careful this doesn't end up being a quick and dirty AIM pump and dump move which gets sold into by the traders this pm.

Happy to pay a premium if or once news lands, but not willing to take a chance on it as once bitten, twice shy and all that. All imo and GLA

This might be one of the late poppers, and I've put an initial position in as you never know when it will stir into life. Will it be before or after news? I'm in OMI and that is certainly leading the charge, and certainly other goldies are picking up. That money will find its way here soon you would think?

I'm sure Hamilton said in one of the Crux interviews that GEX was fully funded for Hussar and Mt Winter. I've got too much else going on in the portfolio to do a quick in and out of GEX. I certainly wouldn't want to hold a position into news, because I just don't have sufficient confidence that news will be positive. Would rather wait to see what the news is, and then hold at higher levels if needs be.

But the bottom is very much in now, assuming there is no more delay/bad news incoming.

We are knocking on the door of this resistance level at ~ 10.4p folks. You can see the (insti?) buyers absorbing sellers/weaker hands at this level. We just need the bid to move into the 10s, as the signal that we have broken this resistance and we can then look to the next level at 13-14p.

The original budget for spending the IPO money also looked tight, such that this extra expenditure they will be incurring (through a second site visit and more running costs) before the re-entry also makes me wonder whether GEX will place again. If they don't do it before the re-entry, they surely will place during it?

You often get this on AIM, where a beaten down stock can make a 50% move just on the sense of rebound and anticipation. I would have bought in the 4s, but don't trust the company/Hamilton enough not to then worry about what might be round the corner. I really do think more money is going to be needed because the current budget set out in the Prospectus for the well re-entry just looks silly cheap to me to the point of being unbelievable. But to be honest, I wouldn't know as not really a knowledgeable O&G investor.

As I keep saying folks, it's not an exercise in synchronised swimming. Everyone should do what's best for them and feels best to them. Our personalities, personal circs and assessment of the situation here will each be different. So what's the right strategy for one of us, won't necessarily be right for another. Moreover, if we are going to engage in debate/contest about what's the best way to trade this, then you can only really assess that at the end of the trade. So really, we will have to revisit this at the end of 2025, where we can dish out some prizes.

Gold heading for 3100 in Q1. If it continues it's move up, then 3400 by Q2/Q3.

The gold stocks are only just waking up and catching up - but they always lag the gold price. So a long way to go for gold stocks. The leaders (within each market) usually move first - and that's what we are seeing with OMI. Reminiscent of GGP in 2020, which was very much the leader back then amongst its peers on AIM.

A bull market in the sector is actually a dream time in which to make major discoveries. The delay we experienced last year is getting the MMA deal over the line has turned into a blessing in disguise. Because making a discovery at PEPAS 2 when gold is 3400 will be much better for us all than having made the same discovery last year with gold at 2500.

Sometimes everything can just align perfectly and this feel like it could be such a time.

Is there an issue with DFC money. When is the next tranche due exactly? Don't think Bres can afford any delay to payment, because they are engaged in DFS work and will need to pay for it using DFC monies.

Yes in from 2.5p. Going to let this one ride as I think it has a long way to go albeit there will be pullbacks along the way. Think goldies will be one of best performers this year.

Dai - i think it's more about hiding institutional activity rather than sells? Because the sells have a buyer, so nothing to hide.

Given the sheer size of the trading, we could be looking at the same fund increasing its stake, and/or another fund scooping up. I recall what L Castro said about multiple institutional interest at the last webinar. It certainly isn't retail and they don't do dark pool! So definitely big boy activity - could be warrants being flushed out - but them someone big is buying them, whether dark pook or not?

Regarding profit taking, i'm easy about that. Totally respect anyone wanting to take profits now, and those wanting to wait for more fundamentals to emerge, or in the belief that price will go much higher. That's what makes a market after all. If we all thought and did the same thing, there would be no market.

I have no intention to sell tomorrow, even if there is another significant rise, although expect me to be posting enthusiastically about it on here if it happens. GLA
