BARC, I nearly pulled the trigger on a sell a few months back with a loss, with the strong understanding further tanking was to come.. I held on and lost out... Now will play the waiting game... But I dislike this stock the most in my portfolio

BP, entered a couple of years ago on the crash, so with the Divi's collected over that time, I'm happy with the holding and it was always long term ( Although I did nearly pull the trigger on this a few weeks back when it hit the highs at 592 knowing I'd buy back on the dips ).... Missed out again.
DEB, a pure punt!
LLOY, I actually did sell these a couple of weeks ago @ 59p, doubt I'll buy back in again ? Small profit and many Divi's collected.
PMO, I made money last time I entered & Exited, now in again last week due to the slump and happy in the knowledge this is near guarantee of increase in time.
TW, as I wanted a house builder in my portfolio, the Divi % was the main attraction and much though Divi's never 100%, I'm near cert I'll get at least a couple and once Brexit mess blown over ( even if it takes 9 - 12 months ), then I'll make a decision to keep or sell but will make a profit.
TOM. Not a large holding, but heavy loss so far. Might top up if it declines heavily to reduce my average ( Dependant on any nasties being published )
TLW. Same as BP where I nearly pulled the trigger @ 263 a few weeks back... Now kicking myself as have to wait for the Idiot Trump to stop mucking about with Oil Price manipulations.
VOD, bought in 2 tranches considering it as a good solid buy with healthy Divi's ( Long term security holding perceived )

I'm not a day trader and never enter a share with a naive view of " this is going to double ", I don't really have the time or the spuds for day trading. Also I consider my holdings not large enough for the percentages to work for me after commission, Stamp Duty and risk of going up when I'm planing for the down's etc etc etc..

I plod along, it's more a hobby than holding my life savings or happiness in it all.

I do appreciate the comments and message and regularly read the BB's and BBC, CNBC etc etc for research

please let me be clear, I am no professional investor and in no way a large Investor.. I'm a simple guy with simple means, so my trades are Thousands, not 10's or 100's etc etc.

I'm in DEB's for my smallest Punt, just for the high reward, but understand the risks. I'll leave them until a very healthy profit, or lost!
I'm in VOD & BP which are my biggest holdings, yes not doing great now, but bought at reasonable entry prices, great Divi's and long term stability!
BARC is my biggest loser and can't wait for the day I can duck out with minimal losses.
Yes I'm in TOM, massively down from initial investment, was going to top up to average down with the reduced price due to the issue's being faced with the company at the moment, but just didn't feel it's the right time and sitting on the fence on that 1 short term until Q1 news releases.

So to confirm, I'm in: BARC, BP, DEB, LLOY, PMO, TW, TOM, TLW, VOD!!

Total potfolio largely down, as most are at the current state of the Financial situation, but I'm no fool as understand longer term, it'll all turn around again and I'll be happy ( with most of my holdings anyway )

I also took a small punt ( and I do mean small ) on DEB's as well hahahahaha

So small that I'm very happy to leave just in case, although small enough to be happy to lose it all

Thank you Johnson36, I was nervous about Housing, naturally. So I split my money 50 / 50 with TW & PMO as my risk is spread over 2 Sectors and both look great buying opportunities.

Was looking for a while on Housing stocks, BDEV, CRST & TW.. Took the Gamble on TW mainly for the Divi's this morning at 150 open.. It has to be a great entry price..... Right ?

DOH!!!! Well that drop certainly hurt.. If I had any spare funds, I'd probably top up, but I don't, so I'll drink whisky the weekend instead.

Hi all, please excuse the ignorance. I'm sure some will mock, although hoping someone will give the benefit and be polite enough to confirm etc:

Ex Div date is tomorrow ( 8th November ), so I then presume Record date is going to be 12th November. If I sell on the 8th do I still get my Divi's, or do I have to wait for the 12th ? Thank you

I really do hope changes are coming fast with positive impacts , not just for my holding in DEB shares, but for the life and sole of the Nation to continue, rather than the commented ghost towns / City Centre's.. I chuffing hate this share !!! Not once has my holding been in the blue since I bought in !! Entered when the divi was at a high with projected increases, then they went and slashed it !!<br /><br />I can't wait for the bugger to increase to a reasonable level to duck out with mild losses, which is probably 2 / 3 years post Brexit imo<br /><br />Hopefully Goldy7 is bang on with his opinion, but I'm a pessimist when it comes to this share, only because of my impact to the losses seen for years

I'm cautiously feeling a little excited that I might have actually bought at the bottom for a change ;o)

TomE, that is much appreciated and already recognised through viewing this site over the months that the majority of people on here are very helpful and supportive.

I did find the whole situation with Last Call some-what "entertaining" although couldn't, let alone wanted to keep up with the jargon and confusion with all the messages. ;o)

I appreciate the Link for knowledge and self-educating, although Share Trading is risky enough, so I'll stick to my normal routine and stay away from that I think.

Really hoping that I don't lose my shirt on this one, as obviously this is a very volatile Stock currently..

Hi all, This is my first ever post, so be gentle..

I've had a joyous few months reading the threads and posts on here, with a little banter, a lot of jibes, and a great deal of Frustration ;o)

I'm not a big Trader but have everything I own now in Shares, initially buying VOD @ 174 as thought it was a Bargain, then watched it slowly fall from the sky.. I have just plunged by last £1'200.00 into more VOD, knowing it's risk, believing it's not at the bottom yet and concerned at the levels it could still fall to. But that's Trading right!!

I'm taking a gamble on the Divi not being cut and happy if it falls further on the SP, as long as Divi is stable.. It might be a big ask, but no risk, no gain..
