Funny that everyone but IOT can see the value creation of owning 100% of Havieron . And the reason? He is not invested here but doesn't waste an opportunity to comment on the SP. And the reason? Because he is not prepared to discuss rationally the asset. All he has is the SP - a one trick pony.
Annual profits of £100m on 100% basis would put Greatland on a very undemanding PE of 10 (eps 2p). So very much within reach if the deal can be done.
Hi speedy - and it's not just the profits that will be superb, think also about the free cashflow. That will mean we can pay off the loans quicker and cut put the onerous interest charges. POG and POC are going to give Greatland a big boost if the momentum is maintained.
ATYM under the radar as a copper play. Q1 results later this week - expecting a bullish outlook.
Source was Tom Palmer, fairly reliable I would say lol.
Whether that is legally enforceable if Greatland only wanted the 70% is another matter. Certainly as it stands according to the JVA Greatland have last right of refusal so Newmont can't sell 70% on its own, without Telfer, to anyone else without Greatland's approval (unlikely) unless they wanted to face large compensation.
The undrawn bank facility stands at 220m dollars on a 30% basis. As Shaun said in the recent interview this scales up to 733m dollars on a 100% basis. A decent war chest for acquiring the remaining 70% of Havieron and Telfer. Not necessarily that is the amount Greatland are prepared to pay. The recent Newmont accounts show the carrying value of the combined package as 373m dollars. Just a book value, not necessarily the amount Newmont will accept.
Lofty - no need to apologise for being ignorant. Fortunately for those who are invested Shaun has more handle on what's going on than you. There are 8.4m reasons why Greatland want 100% of Havieron. Most think there will be around 20m reasons once all the drilling is completed. In the ground value of that is a staggering USD46 billion. I think there's a really good chance of decent profits for 20 years plus, even with an AISC of USD1000 an ounce
Wind your neck in Freddie. Liam is on the case. It has to go through various protocols before release. Not sure why you think it would affect the SP in any case.
Well done, Rotherby. The more groups like this the better. The old Stroud group gang had a meeting last week and it was a great evening. Plenty of humour despite where the SP is!
Aim999 - if you are that interested why don't YOU get off your @rse and do some research or ask Shaun Day in person or by email. You should never rely on anyone but yourself for researching a company.
123Gold - what was the content of your emails. You were challenged. Personally I have always found Shaun replies to emails if they are framed appropriately and not put as a rant with no knowledge.
Thanks Dip for all your hard work on the transcripts. You continue to set the benchmark for the quality of posts that this board can get behind and discuss.
Itsouthere, aim999, loftmonkey, unimaginative and other sceptics. Still making everyone laugh at the lengths to which some people will go to try and distract, even though they must clearly be uninvested. A clear message: “All right, but apart from the gold, the copper, the updates, the PFS, the Juri JV, the Rio JV, strong reserves, the Telfer plant, the decline, the strategic presence, £275 million market cap, a low AISC, the 86% conversion rate, a safe jurisdiction, looking after the indigenous people, Ernest Giles and the Greatland Board what has Greatland ever done for us?”.
I think the real investors know what the outcome is going to be through years of research.
never in the history of aim investing has so much **** been written by so many without a full appreciation of what's going on.....day after day
Ntl - pepper is quite straightforward. He runs with the fox and hunts with the wolves depending on whether, at the time, he is trading the backside off the share. In between times he will try and confuse you with various pieces of technical jargon to sound convincing and bring you into his line of thinking. Not one to be trusted in my opinion. Having said that, it is my opinion and only my opinion. You must make up your own mind.

Sureasblazes - it's worth repeating for the hard of hearing!

Nine's 20.53 post is the one I am referring to.
Nine's post reported for "not being factually correct/misleading" as per lse new rules. Insider information? I don't think so!!! Just a sh@t stirrer.
Lots of bad smells around today including B.O selecta
Email - I see it entirely different from you. Shaun did a similar meeting this time last year when the 6 monthly financial statements came out. So we could expect a similar position this year. Also of course Shaun will no doubt outline in very broad terms the BoD aims regarding the Newmont divestment. His hands are tied as to what he can say but his body language will be key. If the Sunday Roast podcast is true to his feelings I expect a very happy, smiling Shaun Day. If he is happy with 30% then I am sure he would be delighted if he can get his hands on 100%. The heavyweight BoD are not there to sit on hands imo.
