I remember the fuss here when we went from 5 to 6 Billion Shares...oh the good old days ...Good luck Everyone
Most of the regular guys here including myself remember going from 5 to 6 billion shares thinking this is bobbins but now 22 billion shares...looks like we need all those billions of barrels due to 88 if we're going to make 2p a share in the future. Good luck all
Over the years Ive invested in 88 though invested is a very poor word to use in the same sentence as 88.
Ive had a couple of gains but mostly bad losses. l thought l had given up but l jumped in much further up the ladder but fortunately only with £1300 this time and not silly money. Still im sat on a 42 percent loss. On the Positive side l dont need to worry about selling or checking the price all the time... If it goes bust not a problem if it makes it big maybe a nice holiday... But these days there is no illusion of the pound party ..... The only pound will be if the company goes bust and the liquidators pay me one pound for all of my dead shares ... But im still in and hopeful lets hope for once these glossy 3D drawings produce somthing other than a slick corporate presentation.....As they say at the National Lottery it could be you heres hoping fingers and toes crossed
CCL is one of the most Volatile shares ive ever come across. Unlike most shares where Volatility is temporary as a result of an announcement, CCL is like this most of the time.. l Believe CCL is on an upward trend long term.... l also believe That people with money that love going on cruises, will always have enough money to go on cruises, Q2 pushed us to the dizzy heights of 13 pounds, Perhaps in the short term we have gone to far to fast l mean 970 to 1300 in a week is a bit to far to fast, l suppose we could go as low as 1150 but ive no doubt if things progress as we all expect Q3 should push us to 1500 and beyond.. Nothing to see or worry about here
Reality - Texas - 500 Barrels of oil per day
Fantasy posing as reality - Billions of barrels of oil due to 88 in Alaska... Needle in a haystack Scenario
Perhaps texas is our best bet
This run has currently exceeded my expectations. Unfortunately l did a little profit taking at 1087, but fortunately kept the lions share for long term,,,,I know 1087 seems like such a long time ago but its only a few days ago we finished at 970 low where we entered the spaceship that rocketed us to the edge of space and the dizzy heights of £13+ Where do we go next??? £9? £12? £15? one thing l do know im loving every minute of it being a CCL shareholder.........Wasnt happy at £6 but it feels now like that was a dream that didnt really happen lol
OMG not a share for 1) People with a heart condition, 2) People who dont wish to take risks, 3) People with no Bottle
However CCL is suitable for 1) Risk Takers, 2) Thrill seekers 3) People willing to win the Jackpot or Loose their shirt
Im afraid im the latter l love this share...Ive already taken some profits at £10.87 but am keeping the lions share long term....
The CCL Debt is Ridiculous ....But l believe if you can afford a cruise, The cost of food, petrol , gas and electric and everything else will not have a dramatic effect and the vast overwhelming number of Middle Class Cruisers will still cruise... If this is True the debt will eventually reduce and once interest rates peak and reduce its all Gravy......But if im wrong well were goosed
This is the first time ive posted on CCL discussion ive had shares a while. I first bought at around 865 and as they nose dived l tried to improve my average buying at around 670 before they nosedived again l was maybe 30-40 percent down at one point... Today im 30-35 percent up... One thing l will say is if you are nervous or have a heart condition this share is not for you. like everyone here im absolutely loving BOA 20 Dollar upgrade...Im seriously thinking of selling a few so l can go travelling but im confident enough to keep the lions share for long term like many here l believe BOA 20 dollar reccomendation is just the start l believe in the next few years CCL will return to its former glory , Thats assuming Interest rates go down and the People in Politics look for peace instead of war
And it gets even better the top 4 holders combined own 51 percent of the shares....
The Top Holder Probobly a Nominee Broker owns 4 Billion shares and its only 22 percent of the holding l remember when we ony had 4 billion shares now we have 20 Billion
Things never seem to change..spikes,troughs, cash raises, drills...oil experts giving career knowledge. But we always seem to be in the same position...glossy 3D reports telling us how many billions if barrels are due to 88 are no good if the market don't like it and they never do except for the occasional 2p 3p and 4p spikes and they last for one moment in time...Good luck all
l look at the board here and l really dont get it all the talk about MMs and why the price falls.
Its quite simple 88 is a prospecting company that means they look for oil...... Maybe some of you are under the impression that because we have amazing results There will tankers travelling to the site loading up with petrol and taking them to your local Shell and BP garages ready for you to buy petrol....... im afraid thats so far from the truth its a fairy story.......im afraid the truth is we have lots of reports to read in the coming months perhaps years, Cash Raises to Endure that will upset us all enormously.... and yet there is no guarantee of a gold pot at the end of the rainbow..
Farm out???? we tried that before... Im afraid the price of this share will go up and down like a brides Nighty for no particular reason..... Im afraid all the facts and knowledge in the world wont help any of us here. Because thats all they are... In reality its about tankers delivering petrol and we have Glossy 3D diagrams telling us about the Billions of Barrels due to 88 but unfortunately nothing else only the promise of more updates and the inevitable poison Chalise of the Case raise... Good Luck all
l honestly dont get all this MMs nonsense its the way things are ...everyones out to make a buck... This is an AIM share and there are times when AIM shares are illiquid but this shouldnt happen here with 20 Billion Shares . But we all have to accept the fact that we will permenantly have to live with a wide spread.. But the wide spread, is not why were here, Were all here because were looking for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow... This is not a solid Blue Chip with a 4% yield . This is Everything or nothing...... Anyone who does not understand that should not be here ...ive seen 88 go from 4 Billion shares to 20 Billion with Cash raises on a regular basis....This is an Oil Prospecting Company Not a budding Shell or BP.... so from Where im Standing and with the current drill l decided yet again to try a lottery ticket in the form of 88 shares ...Are you feeling Lucky?
Over the years ive bought and sold 88 shares. For the most part its been an absolute disaster Buying and selling at the wrong time, but thats my fault alone, Ive lost serious wads of cash here and in recent years have recovered from my losses.
But after reading around the subject again, lve decided to dip my toe in the water again . 220,000 shares a nice small investment if it goes up great if we go bust its ok for me ...l will never again be stupid enough to go top heavy with 5 Million shares as l did in the old days.. Good luck all
HandspringGuy im good thanks for asking..... ive no doubt that your assesment is more accurate than mine. Im just explaining about my experience with 88....But heres the thing........ If there is even a Whiff of Striking a gusher the price will go through the roof ..... But Currently l think were trading around Half a pence a share..... Clearly the Majority have spoken
Ive invested in 88E many times over the years and its always the same.. Not quite Ground Hog Day but certainly Groundhog Drill....... Exiting new land aquired WOW...... Next is a Glossy 3D presentation..... Lots of Geological Pics Showing Resovoirs of oil usually quoted as "Billions of Barrels of oil due to 88E"..... At some stage there is a Cash raise and all the investors are grumpy and the price usually falls ... When I first bought we had only 4-5 Billion shares , Now we must have around 20 billion ish?? Next comes the hype before the drill ... Rampers here on a grand scale..... Then the drill.... its like watching people at a day at the races ..... Screaming at 88E to get past the winning post and strike a gusher... The best one for me was when Dave Ward (Known to the regular guys as Dudter Dave) announced he had hit "Oily Clay" and then capped that particular drill.... Will we hit a gusher this time? Keep hold of your tickets and keep screaming... you do of course realise that the odds of success are very long indeed... Dont be fooled by the glossy pics.....The oil is there its just finding it...... When People talk about a needle in a haystack im afraid that is much nearer to the truth than the glossy pictures presentation... Why do l say that ? Because Oily Clay is so far the nearest we have to a gusher.... Good Luck Everyone
On the positive side we have not hit 0.25p even with close to 20 billion shares. l remember in the distant past people were saying OMG 6 billion shares is to much...
Anyway were on a low of 0.45p so mus'nt grumble at least Duster Dave is rich
We have had oil of magnitude before l think it was called a duster
Where are the £1.50 by Friday Rampers now unless of course they mean 0.15p. 88 is what it is mediocre updates is the order of the day...lost count of the times in the past when we were going to hit the jackpot only to find out its another duster. Maybe this time? Or maybe business as usual tasting the dust once again with our billions of barrels just out of reach yet again
l think we need to seriously think about a penny party as achievable in the long term ...maybe
