The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
I think many western countries got themselves into a mess relying on cheap imports from the east. I echo what Silenced has said - Brexit and Covid has realigned industries supply chain strategies. I think CMH will take advantage of businesses wanting to buy British and keep things in-house. Yes it costs more, but British manufacturing is undeniably higher in quality and there are reduced issues when it comes to the onshore supply chain! It’s all well and good buying inferior products from China for less cost, but if there are significant delays in getting the product into the UK, then companies will turn to UK based manufacturing companies to provide increased certainty.
Also, director deals can be a red herring. Directors may buy shares to fool the market into thinking positive things are on the horizon. There were 3 x buys by NNN staff recently that looked suspicious to me. The 3 people involved all bought a very small amount of shares for roughly the same cost. However, looking at the buying pattern and volumes of the recent director buys I see no red flags at all. TB, as most know, is a very shrewd businessman. He’s focussed purely on making money and he’s made a significant amount of money from his investments in the past few years. He’s getting on a bit age wise now. He would not chuck money into CMH and risk losing it when he’s probably not too far from retiring. He simply doesn’t need to do it. Just like with NNN/RMS and BRH he knows there’s a significant increase in the SP on the cards.
Some people on these boards say they’re ‘relaxed’ with their investment and urge others to ‘fill their boots at these crazy prices’. Ultimately, I am happy with my investment in CMH. But I’m not going to urge anyone to buy.
I had a look at the RNS when it was released. On the face of it, I thought it was a massive positive.
However, I’m just trying to work out the finer details of the RNS.
I’m not entirely sure what PCA means. I thought it may be something along the lines of Personal Close Associate.
Then this bit -
“ Following the purchase, Mr Butler-Wheelhouse beneficially holds 1,046,627 Ordinary Shares representing approximately 0.99 per cent. of the Company's issued share capital”
So Keith has increased his holding? And this is via a PCA?
