"So far, there are no plans to increase the stake. If they appear, we will do everything in accordance with the law. We will make a mandatory offer to shareholders. But today there are no such plans," Trotsenko said.

He noted that the decision to join the Petropavlovsk shareholders was related to the completion of the construction of an autoclave production (POX) company. "It is already clear that this difficult part has been passed. Debt problems remain. We will solve them by negotiating with banks. Insist on the sale of non-core assets such as IRC," Trotsenko added.

He also explained that the company needs to increase its resource base. "Autoclave production is unique, but today about half to two-thirds are loaded, and part of the load is third-party raw materials. The task is to make a full-cycle company, provide raw materials," the businessman said, adding that the possibility of buying gold deposits would be considered.

In addition, Trotsenko said that the group under his management plans to develop gold mining in Russia. “As a group, we plan to invest about 50 billion rubles in the equity sector. For two years ... After that, we’ll see where there is consolidation, there is synergy. First we need to collect materials for work. We are interested in the industry,” he concluded.

As reported, in the middle of July, Kazakhstan businessman Kenes Rakishev sold his stake (22.42% of the shares) in Petropavlovsk to Roman Trotsenko.

Petropavlovsk Plc is one of the top five Russian companies in terms of gold production.
