There is a very good chance now of an out of court settlement. Perfect time to settle in any event. MPL seeks certainty, full control. Whilst, Adani already involved in the ongoing US bribery case, would be best served to settle as they would not want a ruling of illegal wrongdoing, and damaging their reputation further.

Recovering full payment is far better face saving than a defeat in court. Since MPL stands ready to pay the entire outstanding amount, they have no leg to stand on. Any balanced court will see this. So Adani Group would be well advised to take the money and walk away. This would a very logical and business minded decision.
