Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
It’s almost as if the SP is being ‘held’ at 13p.
If RKH is such a dead cert that this board in the main believes, then why are you guys not buying in droves ?
@Nastynick … being true to your name I see.
Thanks Daihatsu
@nicktheglobe My contention is that the very presence of Sam’s hand on the tiller has a negative material impact on the future prospects of RKH based on his handling of the Sealion discovery and financing.
M-D, Nothing would give me greater pleasure than to apologise for doubting you but somehow I don’t see it happening soon. 6 months in my opinion.
I understand that but patience is NOT one of my attributes when I don’t have all the facts.
This seems to be a recurring theme under Sam’s leadership. How many times in the past have the BoD’ hidden behind RNS commerciality rules ? The same think is now happening with Navitas… as Operator , RKH simply say it’s not in our hands.
So Premier was a good choice then ?
Thanks for the expected abuse and playground name calling, Oscar. I know you can do better but , like me, your frustration boils over occasionally.
Interesting to note that you think this should be a line item in someone’s will … ten years, twenty years and you berate me for unrealistic targets ?
Are your timescales a true reflection or are you just adding to the disharmony for your own purposes ?
Matt … the Poor choice of partner in Premier. The subsequent impact of that poor decision and the failure to recognise that the startup of a new oil province should be done small rather than a big bang approach. Failing to manage the reputation risk of Rockhopper satisfactorily has added unnecessarily to the poor view of RKH by the market. I could go on and on but I won’t.
The advent of Navitas is an opportunity to turn it around. They ‘seem’ to be making a decent job of it from the circumstantial evidence we see but goodness it’s like pulling hens teeth.
I take your point, covgaz but getting any news of progress is so difficult that it is almost as if RKH and Navitas are being obstructive. No sign of the EIA.
Much of that work had already been done by the previous partners …. I know, I know … patience ?
As covgaz said himself: ‘ Filter me all you like , it won't change my life , nor the fact I'm about 24k down on this heap of t*rd’
@M-D It has already been established that your opinion is worthless but you are entitled to your opinion.
I don’t disagree Ralph but it will only be a slow burn.
For those who have waited so long, the realisation is starting to dawn that Mr Market now looks at the oil industry differently. Like it or not the days of a 10 bagger are gone IMHO. I suspect when FID, OM and maybe even first oil arrive, the returns will be nowhere near what we came to accept as normal when Sealion was first discovered and probably be treated as a damp squib. Sam must hold the can for that. As I have always said, to me the money is lost in the bottom draw somewhere. Yes it would be nice to see Sealion succeed but it won’t change my life if it doesn’t happen.
Go back to your praying M-D, you’ll need it.
‘Honest guv, I wasn’t ramping when I said JHI bin to meet the FIG’
You intended that be your message.
He’s trying to say JHI are in the funding mix.
To be fair it would make sense.
It’s disappointing for sure and maybe the writing is on the wall regarding finance. I’m not convinced that FID is a stonewall certainty. FIG have nothing to lose in delaying FID until they are ready after all they are politicians and politicians are no different the world over.
