Overview
The Havieron Project is the primary target of the Newcrest-operated farm-in and potential joint venture with Greatland Gold. The Project is located in the Paterson Province, Western Australia, approximately 45km east of Newcrest’s 100%-owned Telfer mine.
You will manage a small owner’s team, various stakeholders and contractors, to safely and efficiently deliver the exploration decline to meet the requirements of the Havieron business plan.
Reporting directly to the Head of Projects, you will be responsible for:
Managing the tender process including development of tender documentation, evaluation
Awarding the contracts
Developing underground mining team
Managing the construction and execution of the greenfields Boxcut and Exploration Decline
Managing the surface infrastructure and mine development camp
Delivering the project on time, within budget, and as per technical specification
This is a fixed term position that will work on a FIFO (8/6) roster. Point of Hire is Perth.

About You
Our ideal applicant will be degree qualified in Engineering with a WA First Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency, and demonstrated experience managing and assessing tenders and awarding and mobilising contractors to site. Along with your impeccable approach to safety, you will be a strong communicator who will take a leading approach to managing and influencing onsite change.
