A a bit odd. The RNS wasn’t great, but it wasn’t that bad either, so a 30% drop seems excessive, particularly as the trading of shares as a percentage of total issue is pretty light. AIM is losing credibility year by year.

My traffic light assessment is:

Diamonds - GREEN - better than expected.

HMS - AMBER - harder to get the required purity than they thought but can be fixed.

2A Licence - AMBER - the term ‘backlog’ often means ‘incentives required to get it out of the pending tray’.

Ta mine - AMBER - possibly at the political stage and as stated, hopeful but not in control of events.

Good news is that there are no REDS - so I am hanging in there.

I assume that with the inevitable sales from speculators who hoped to turn a buck on a breaking news today, we will see a retrace on the SP. That’s AIM for you. The reality is that nothing much has changed with regard to the huge potential here.

Pretty much what I expected. Only two concerns really: firstly the timeline to refine the HMS a purity that is economically viable, and secondly the impartiality of the Supreme Court. I am not quite clear on whether the existing HMS stockpile has to go back for further processing. And what political leverage can the Chinese bring to bear on the Court?

On the basis of Buying today, I don’t think we are going to get much tomorrow.

Thanks AGBR. The case for Tantalum is compelling. I still sense that some patience is going to be required here.

Expectation management: I think the best we are going to get is a positive outlook on HMS and Diamonds. The Perdevlei licence and Ti mine deal are game changers in themselves, so to expect them to be rolled up in Interims is a bit unrealistic. Probably just a positive a progress report on the latter.

Back to KZG: I want to see the ‘black’ Buys before getting too excited, but it is good to see some movement.

I get that, but Dennis has always made an effort on communicating with shareholders - all of those Investor Meet Company interviews etc - and if there is something of substance that can be released he would surely be broadcasting again. I tend to believe (and hope) that there is a commercial-in-confidence aspect to the break in news flow. Also not sure if now is the optimal time to release good news, as everybody is hoarding their cash.

Mate, not sure if you have noticed but there is a war on. Everything is down, even gold.

But 9 months later you are still checking the stock first thing on a Monday morning.

Well Mr C. I’ve also been doing this for a while, and my lesson is that impatience is never rewarded. The explosion usually happens after you cash in!

SP was dropped an unprecedented 15% by an unusual pattern of Sells yesterday morning, and has been artificially held there despite overwhelming Buys since then. Should have popped up to at least previous levels but hasn’t budged. Go figure.

Steve, not sure whether that is a universal truth for mining stocks, and some metals are doing very well. We are probably in the middle somewhere?
