I am indeed fairly close to the Welsh border...or rather family home is....so did go on many a school trip when I was a wee lass....and since....

Beautiful beaches/landscape in Wales admittedly.....hence why the south coast appeals to me so much for weekend breaks etc; lived 10-15 min drive away from coastline growing up in north..... In fact anything c.f congested, polluted, over-populated, unsurburban London appeals to me! :((
