TD - where was it announced that we are supplying the FiLo products? Haven’t seen that.

The next set of numbers will reflect full or near full capacity at the lab for the entire period - should be a game changer....at last!

Disagree easy - BBC News article showing labs at full capacity and being overwhelmed by domestic PCR test requirements - loss of travel testing really not a material issue at this point due to home grown testing requirements. Quote:
"The UKHSA added: "Fast action has been taken to expand processing capability and add extra capacity to our laboratory network to meet this exceptional demand.
"Our lab technicians and scientists are working as fast as possible to ensure the public receives their results quickly and we apologise to anyone that is having to wait a little longer for their test result."

I wonder if those buys around 12:30pm may be the Board - Lyn certainly hinted at further investment by the Directors.

Vanilla - good question re LTH's. A slight difference is that a significant part of the recent decline was twofold - 1) Newlands downsizing his holding to 3% from 10-12% previously and 2) Directors selling 10.5m shares at 5.5p to Institutions in August as well as issuing 50m New shares at the same time to raise £2.84m. Neither of these parties owns as much stock any longer and so it cannot happen again in quite the same way so I'm hopeful of a sustained sp next time it goes to 14/15p. Whatever happens, I've been here too long to get out below say 15p and, quite frankly, by that time, I'll probably be happy to hold for a bit longer! GLA

ASH04 - Lyn did hint quite strongly that Director buys could be a very real possibility shortly. They are out of the Closed period now and the sp, by their own admission, is undervaluing the company considerably so why wouldn't they? The persistent selling just doesn't add up for me as, at this level, very few, extremely early investors, could turn a profit AND the consistent good news flow throughout 2021 begs the question as to why they have. Most of the Board are in at higher averages than this sp (Lyn is averaging around 14-15p himself so he's not jumping for joy to see 12.50p)
One more thing that Lyn said re the share price was a specific reference to a Capital Markets Day in the first 2-3 months of 2022 - in other words a beauty parade to Institutions which, if executed properly, can be the trigger for which we have all been waiting. GLA

Agreed. Two questions asked re Institutional Shareholders and getting the message across with MHC moving when we’re not - both answered properly and good to see Lyn answer questions on sp when avoided in the past. He’s obviously just as frustrated as we are and don’t forget the Board are well invested. Additionally, when asked if Directors felt this was cheap and they should be buying, he said ‘Yes I agree’ so keep an eye out for Director buys shortly.
A good presentation and reaffirms that I am diametrically opposite in view to Twix - I agree the market has not valued us correctly but I still believe this is a solid investment for the long term investor (& yes, like him, I’ve been here since Premaitha etc) so already a long term holder!! GLA

Huge value at these levels imho. I have added (again!) and now very fully invested in the CPX story. I have the patience if they have the products...and I think they do. Time will tell but it's a frustrating wait which will ultimately be very rewarding I hope! GLA. Lion

The sp should be, and will be, way higher very soon imho. That AGM simply reconfirmed what we already know ie that we have an excellent pipeline of contracts and prospects. The market is concentrating on PCR and thinking less requirements, etc but we know there's a hell of a lot more to YGEN than Covid - I know everyone is getting bored with the sp but Lyn can't do anything about that (apart from buy more shares), the BoD do have skin in the game, and (even more!) patience is required. Many of us have been here for years but selling up now, when we're on the fringe of major uplift, would be a catastrophic error imo. I'm very optimistic and thought the presentation was good. GLA

I believe the payment from the licensee is less than owed so chasing required. Re the IP, the Maxwell case could be a game changer in respect of discouraging others - ie if we can defeat Tesla backed Maxwell, then other infringers would have to seriously reconsider their position and come to the table to settle imho. GLA

Exactly Bakky - glad to see MHC going better than expected for you today - that RNS seems to have convinced the market which just goes to prove that good communication can work.

I see today as a potential top-up opportunity with the PCR news. This not some half-hearted, rose-tinted view of Yourgene but rather an acknowledgement of the future growth of the company with or without Covid. Certainly, it has become clear that there will still be significant PCR testing attached to positive tests in any event, etc, as well as any future reinstatement of the tests should the scientists views be taken on board, but also our vast range of other genomic offerings eventually being the base of several different tests for a number of maladies. There is some suggestion that perhaps MHC is a bit of a one-trick pony at present although branching out (I appreciate many posters here are invested in both), but YGEN are already a multi-faceted medical company with multiple sources of revenue and that is the key to our future, not PCR testing. GLA

Little top up this morning - I believe we'll get clarity of the BoD's vision at the presentation and there will be a bounce back to the late 30's, possibly touching 40p again post presentation by end of week. In a nutshell, the huge potential of this tech and this stock is still largely misunderstood in the UK but I feel, instead of the sp getting bogged down in typical UK style, ongoing strength on the US trading platform will redress that imbalance. The words to remember in a few years time are: "Powered by Blackbird" - that to me is the game changer where OEM's and others can now integrate Bird into their own tech which makes it much more adaptable as far as the major end user is concerned. That and the announcement at some point that Bird have managed to be accepted onto one or more of the 3 Public Cloud platforms will be game changing. Sit tight imho. GLA

Agreed Steve but, looking back at the RNS of August 19th to which Lyn referred this morning, is it any wonder that the market didn't immediately understand its significance. I like Lyn but, when a contract is announced, surely it is not misleading to divulge the full information attached to it which is in the public domain in any event. My point is that, if the market had realised the potential was up to £34m AND the contract was only 2.5 months duration, then the sp would have reacted at the time because it's such a short time to wait to see the actual numbers (end of October/beginning of November I presume). As you say, £34m is over 1/4 of the current entire MCAP so it has the potential to add that kind of 25% uplift to the sp within 3 months. I appreciate that Lyn is wary of over-promising and under-delivering due to past reasons, but that August 19th RNS should have stated the potential value and the time frame in my opinion. Exciting times ahead. GLA

Those are some chunky sells late reported yesterday but MM's still seemingly on the bid. Very recently, a few trades like that would have the sp losing 1p so it's interesting to see what might be happening in the background.
BTW, there's nothing wrong with selling into strength to reduce your position if you're over-exposed - it's a sensible strategy as long as you keep enough to benefit from the uplift which you originally invested for. That's the balance between risk and reward and patient investing. GLA

I think there is a fundamental misunderstanding of what Lyn said in the presentation re the contract(s). He was quite specific that the parties involved were huge household names BUT that they, not YGEN, govern when these contracts are officially announced and, for their own commercial reasons, this has not yet happened but is imminent. He said he was very keen for them to be announced but that it was out of his hands. In my opinion, that is a perfectly acceptable explanation and they have been agreed and will be RNS'd here when they are officially announced in the US - no drama, just good news. GLA
