13M so he now owns nearly 10% of the company which is very encouraging. That said, as he is effectively YGEN Taiwan, and we're looking to divest Taiwan, what are the implications of that?
Jam it’s no surprise if the sp goes down to the Placing price - that’s pretty standard. A few PI’s will maybe see a small turn and sell their allocation into the market over next few days around the 0.30-0.33 level.
Once the quick turn overhang goes, then there’s a chance that the sp can advance on fundamentals (if you believe there are any!!). GLA
So much for looking after existing shareholders via the Retail Offer with at least 3 of the biggest stockbrokers not participating in the Bookbuild!! If they really cared about PI’s, it would have been a straight Rights Issue pro-rated to existing holdings. As it is, I suspect that well over half of private shareholders will be unable to participate so those of you with you shares in one of the participants may well get your over subscription.
It may be a moot point in that there is still ample opportunity for the sp to dip to 0.30 either pre- or post-Retail Offer but it rankles for LTH’s nonetheless. HNY
A minimum 1:10 consolidation is almost inevitable I would say post Placing.
Davand - usually always retrace to placing price except when a placing is massively oversubscribed as lols to be the case here.
Is HL participating and if not, any ideas how HL PI’s can subscribe?
I thought long and hard yesterday and bought 2.3m to bring me up to 3m - I think one has to ride the train to the end now that 97% of the sp has been lost since last Christmas. So my average is down from nearly 10p to 2.5p today and I’m going to take 2m in the Retail offering if I can then I’m done - no more averaging ever!!! GKA
Previous shares in issue was around 750m btw
Tread - not sure myself but, looking again at the RNS yesterday, the 383m Directors shares are part of the 1.66bn for starters.
I entirely agree with you Stas - I see no pleasure in any shareholders misfortune on this or any other share. Please bury the hatchet you two (& I don’t mean in each others heads!).
A Merry Christmas to all - we are ALL in the same boat (or submarine given how far underwater we all are!) so I sincerely hope it doesn’t ruin the festive period with you and your families - I’ve been there many years ago when a bad RNS landed on Christmas Eve - don’t let these R-souls disintegration of the sp affect how you treat those around you - it’s not their fault, it’s our BoD. GLA
Absolutely Davand - so always retraces to Placing price and averaging down does make a lot of sense IF you believe the BoD.
The terminology was ‘near term finance’ as to what the £6m will be spent on. So, the question is - was the placing required to get over a bump in the road and after that it’s going to generate its own funding OR will there be ‘long term finance’ requirements as well??
The full take up by the BoD and II’s suggests they believe the former so fingers crossed.
For me though, I have to think long and hard before putting any more in here as my £70k spent so far is this morning worth about £2,500 - there comes a point where one either goes again big time or leaves the game and I’m not sure which yet with this incompetent BoD predominantly still in place quite frankly. GLA
1. Whoever was selling down from 15p all the way, has now just bought them back at 0.030p - they have made a killing and are still fully invested but at only 2% of last years sp
2. The BoD have also made a killing buying this much value in a company for a fraction of its take out multiple
3. I bought into NIPT because we had a huge scare with our eldest daughter after the amnio back in 1995 and I really admired what Premaitha/YGEN were doing to help people - this was a very, very, very personal investment Lyn and you’ve disgraced it
4. It now costs about 15 YGEN shares to buy ONE Fruit Salad sweet!!! Yes just one not a packet!! So, sell your children’s sweets and buy, buy, buy!!!
5. Merry Christmas to my fellow shafted ‘ordinary’ shareholders and pox on the board who have ruined everyone else’s!
Finally, if you do have any funds left and average down from over 10p to a more realistic level, my sincere good wishes and good luck to you all. L1
The point is that PI’s were all well underwater before today with averages from c.9.5p up to in excess of 14p. Now Lyn has totally f..ked us over - all that BS in the Your Investor presentations - lies then silence. I was one of the lower averages at just under 10p and now we’re at 0.30p - unbelievable considering the results were not disastrous. It feels like fraud - not saying it is but it feels like it. Have these directors got no conscience? No moral obligation? If I’m suffering with one of the (relatively) lower averages near 10p then we’ve all been royally shafted. It’s a disgrace and that’s all there is to it.
All I know at this stage re the ever decreasing window to release their results, is that I hope we are still listed this time next month! If we have poor results at least the BoD can be changed and improvements made but if they take it private, we’re all screwed.
Hope you’re right chum! GLA
So, if a deal is imminent, who and why would be a big seller????
It must have been a Sell because if you look at all the Buys below it, with no sp change, they have cancelled one another out otherwise the sp would have shot up! That said, I hope you guys are correct in that the overhang has gone but my question remains, why would anyone sell that volume at this level for a huge loss???
The question is who would sell 2.5m shares at a huge loss and what do they know that we don’t?!!
The presentation was very positive for the tech and revenue generation via the EVS sales team. That said, Ian was clear that we are a Long Term investment which will potentially deliver huge returns but not for a while. Once embedded in a customers suite though, it’s a long, consistent revenue stream but each contract will take time. Mine are in the bottom drawer for a few years now but will top up on weakness. Strong future if you’re patient imo. GLA
I understand your view as prima facie €2m over 5 years is tiny BUT I think the key here is that it proves that the Powered By Blackbird tech can be configured by individual licensees to do exactly what they want and that is the game changer. Patience will be required but will also be rewarded imo. GLA
Hi Stas - I meant re the ‘legal’ routes that you suggested please.
