Thx for the informative posts on here, much appreciated & good to be finally in profit & planning to hold for recovery. Aologies for off topic but saw yr post in bms & was wondering what yr view was now..i've bought at 284...
Ok thanks for reply
Wuffle - interested in your thoughts as you obviously know the history here..are you currently holding? are you reassured by the recent clear comms? thx
Thank you for your informative posts, would be very interested on your thoughts on the AGM if you do get a chance go attend. ATB
Also if you search for Malcy's Blog online & then search for Lamprell he discusses what's happening, people leaving etc...this is an excerpt from his 3rd May posting... Good news this morning from Lamprell where CEO Jim Moffat has deferred his retirement by six months to the end of the year or until a replacement is found. The job of replacing Jim has been difficult for a number of reasons but shareholders should be grateful for small mercies as ‘new’ Lamprell is very much down to him and things were looking pretty dire when he arrived. The announcement also states that further cost cutting is under way with 100 jobs or 8% of the staff being lost in a number of areas. This is not unusual as major projects move out of the yard and whilst new work is inevitably hard to get in the current environment, LAM is in a stronger position that most to win contracts especially in the Middle East.
Nowhere may well be right ( I am holding LAM and may regret it ) but I have learnt the hard way to make my own decisions & now usually ignore what I read on these boards, as other posters often have a different agenda. ATB
Wasn't expecting this today...bit of a roller coaster this one!
Liberalman that sounds like a good move, think we're in for some volatility shortly but it's been a nice few weeks...
Some impressive purchases there Liberalman well done!!
Thanks Liberalman - sums up my thoughts
Discount larger than usual? Any ideas why...
That's interesting Appleby you've called it well so far , finally sold out at a hefty loss @243 as oil looking so bearish, looking to get back in lower but just watching for now ..ATB
Thanks for the update
Agreed Pokerchips, Appleby you have called this really well! Disappointing as I am holding but have taken opportunity to average down, who knows where the floor is though. What a rollercoaster but that's VED all over! Anyone know what the short position is at the moment?
