Now days it's all about promotion. Come on Alba get prompting, tell us you're doing something with the Black sands, or the Gold Mine! Change our name to something a bit more interesting/exciting like: Gold belt resources, or Verdandi black mineral sands, maybe even Greenland mineral resources. that might help keep the government out there on side.

Just goes to show that hot air and hype can drive a share price higher than value. Personally I would rather go with true value, it feels so much safer. It just take one little pin prick to burst a bubble.

When tankers full of oil start leaving site, I'm expecting some TV coverage again. Trouble is, it will most likely be ucog in the limelight. Ukog price movement defies simple logic/maths, so far It's up 10% today, last placing there was well below current share price, and it still has 3 million pounds of shares to feed into the market. We are below the last placing, and offer more upside on any HH success. Plus we have some other very interesting projects to full back on if HH is not such a big success.
We need some good PR to roll out. The start of Gold (no matter how small) at our welsh mine would do wonders for the share price.

I'm no expert, but my understanding is they will open the choke in small increments while keeping an eye on the pressure, I believe a well can be ruined if the taps are turned full on, for long period of time, an amount of pressure must be balanced with the optimal flow. Don't think there's an industry standard, (maybe some guidelines) as all wells will be different regarding the Depth, Permeability, Type of Rock/Sand, Pressure, Size of Payzone, ETC.

Think they are testing, with the intention to optymyze the individual zones, for period of 30/40 each.

As suspected it was speadex clients closing positions that has lead to shares being sold on the cheap.
Some of those clients who run out of patience will have lost out big time, especially the one's buying directly after the first placing. probably where the mystery big buy went.

Yes that's good sign Yanis, would imply the market makers have not got a lot of shares in free float to sell. (they have not accumulated) So should mean any buying pressure will push the price up.

Yep, I know what you mean. (just don't want to say it) The second placing killed sentiment here big time, maybe some folks are still selling up because of it. I know it really hacked me off. I was wondering if a name change might attract more attention, Alba is very racy.

It looks to me like spreadex are not too fussy about issuing TR1's on time. Take for instance the first one at 7.68% should they not have filed one when the 5% was first crossed?

Yanis, It's most likely Spreadex selling cheap, they don't care what price they buy or sell at, they are just managing risk.

Spreadex will charge clients interest on money borrowed for margin, also a daily fee, depending on what type of bet the client has placed. In my oppion spread betting is a gamble not worth taking.

I tend to agree with you dsfat, Spreadex will be quite happy to sell share at 0.25, even if they paid 0.30 for them. They are not holding Alba for an investment, they are simply buying and selling to mitigate the risk, regardless of the share price. They make their money from a bigger spread offered on their platform. Clients opening and closing positions will determine how many shares are bought or sold by spreadex regardless of price.

Workovers on two old wells at south dagi must be well under way by now. I'm assuming it's quicker than drilling a new well!

I reckon you could see a 90% loss if they cant get all the fluid out again this season. No institutions on the share reg. So the big boys don't fancy it.

Good luck with 88E, I was in that at one time, made nice few quid out of it. Don't fancy it now, was not enough pressure to get all the fluid out last year, don't bode well for many bopd when/if it flows. But what do I know.
