I hope they can drop the Price tomorrow so I can pile in here and then sit back for a year and not bother looking at daily charts, Ill take the dividend and the rise in value of my investment.

When are we going to shake off the 'Enquest is a Dog of a share' reputation .
From 2015 - 2019 the analyst have done nothing but throw negative remarks at Enquest and its unfortunately stuck.
Bit like Skoda - The cars are great but the name will always be known as a cheap and nasty Dog.
We have out performed both TLW and PMO by a large margin and yet still analyst will say so.

Could be another top up opportunity today. Let’s see

Epip it’s not a bad update, it’s a very unflattering positive update.
Nothing exciting but that’s fine with me. It’s the next update that should be one to look forward to - should be much more exciting

If ARCM can push the SP pre takeover and they can hold the price down converting their Bonds into more shares per pound then its a good move but it’s still a gamble if the conversion price is already set, all depends on their average price they borrowed the stock at.
Now the oil price rises this week it could bigger up there game plan

Stevo - borrowed stock is borrowed and has to be returned end of.
If ARCM are holding borrowed stock at the time or anyone else is holding borrowed stock that they haven’t sold this stock will be converted into borrowed stock in the new company.
It still has to be handed back to the owner of the stock. The whole point of borrowing stock is to sell it into the market to push the price down so you can buy it back at a cheaper price otherwise there is no profit. You can hold borrowed stock if the price rises and just hand it back, but you don’t want to get caught after you’ve sold it and the price rises as that’s the point a squeeze starts as limiting the loss on a short.

SK we had -5% day yesterday

The trouble is SK if the canal is blocked for any length of time all those oil tankers are going to have to sail right around africa 20 days of burning more fuel, supplies will be hammered oil prices will rocket

Basically you borrow the stock at say 10p, you then sell those shares into the market pushing the price down, once the price drops to say 5p you hope to buy back enough shares to hand back with a average under 10p . The difference being the profit.
So with the new company the borrowed stock will be converted into shares of the new company......... But instead of the shorter being able to move the price with a larger percentage of stock with the Mcap being so low as we have now , that Mcap with the new company will be 20 times greater so the influence of the shorter will be diluted 20 times making it much more difficult to move the price.
I certainly wouldn't want to be short now. Sod that

How things turn around, Enq has out performed ~PMO and Tlw and weathered the storm far better

EIA figures could be very interesting this afternoon, we could see some very big draws

This is a monstrous problem for the movement of oil supplies if they cant clear this quickly. The only downside is that it could affect our shipments going to Asia.
