No one is buying oil stocks for long term investments because of the uncertainties with Trump playing the markets with his tweeting just the day traders.

Once the Straight is open things will settle down and most likely investors will return to the oil sector and the price will start to move up.

Normally losing between 10m and 13m barrels we would see a massive price spike but we haven't really and the price is telling a different story, Its telling us there is plenty of oil meeting demand

But looking at world oil reserves and the speed they are depleting suggests to me that countries have been selling reserves into the market and making a big profit in hope that the strait wouldn't be shut for long enabling them to refill reserves at a far cheaper price

The trouble is the strait remains shut and is looking unlikely to open anytime soon. So are we going to see the inevitable spice spike as those reserves run towards empty ? This has to be Iran's strategy and so far they have dangled a carrot in front of Trump and pulled it away at last min. They have him on the hook and playing him like a Pillock ....Sorry Pollock

We are almost back to where we were before the war started but so is Serica and Harbour so its not just us, Brent prices were around $73 and not $100 we have now so has the market jumped the gun selling the equity or will all 3 fall way below the level they all were at the end of Feb if Brent falls back that far ?

I suppose the market is anticipating the panic and taking advantage of it.

Oil analyst - Oil prices are telling us the world has enough supply when in reality we are around 10m - 13m barrels short, the strait is still shut but the panic bought cargoes from the last 6 weeks are now arriving in Asia so giving buyers a little breathing space to see if the strait reopens before they have to buy again but if it doesn't open soon they will have be forced to start bidding for barrels again.
