EnQuest need to address this issue now. Doing nothing and leaving the market to fester is a kick in the teeth to it’s shareholders.

SQZ has a Market cap of £760m with production of 26k - Zero debt
ENQ has a Market cap of £540m with production of 50k - Debt $800m approx

SQZ is showing us that we are 12months behind them with our debt level compared to our Market cap so as that debt falls away with our production and assets we should in theory have a Market cap around double theirs in 12 months time. £1.5b is about right with debt level around $250m

EnQuest should ask every shareholder for a Invoice (addressed as consultancy) or something totalling 10p for every share owned and offset that as Opex reducing the gross profit.

Barclays have always hated EnQuest for some reason, even after we weathered the storm over the past 7 years far better than PMO and Tullow Barclays still preferred them over us.
What’s their fracking problem ffs ?
AB and the Board have some serious decisions to make

Chilting why would Enquest need to borrow on top of the FCF coming in this year ? Refinance yes but borrowing more unless its another large investment I don't think so

Hopefully SQZ update will tow us up with it.

I could understand Barclay's cutting the target by 25% (30p) but how do they get 23p ? Specially with the Premium Dollar's Kraken is making over Brent

Its like the whole market including our government has it in for EnQuest !

Spot price of $123 this morning, Kraken premium of at least 10% above that.
Even with the 25% Tax grab we are still making a huge amount of FCF
Undervalued is a understatement

It’s our oil and gas companies that the government should be supporting not attacking as it’s these companies that will lead the move towards green energy, this TAX has now thrown a spanner in the works. I hope BP make the decision to leave the NS and blame our ****house government for it

So who will be the first to challenge the government in court over it ?

All companies are only there to make a profit (pay dividends) they ain’t there for the love of it only, all this TAX will do is drive companies away and ultimately push oil prices even higher. This government is a shambles a disgrace and built on lies.
They won’t last.

The way I see it is that our debt repayments are a overhead and the figure paid will be before the TAX is applied
I don’t think this Tax will affect us that much until we have paid down the debt and developed Bressay into production.
By the time that’s done this Tax will be removed.
The market has way oversold
