Oh and one last thing.. is decent person who mentions name calling would usually not respond in the same way. Stinks of being a follower not a leader. Go back to your posts which you seem to like to refer to when it's in your interest..:
Kpatel - don't you get it pea brain
A post from you for reference, one of many name calling I hasten to add.
Oh and my economic interest here is clearly greater than yours as an investor in this company. That's just common sense.
I'll keep this short because you are becoming attached to me and clearly lying and when people lie all my respect if any vanishes quickly.
I was having a conversation with Tyche in May 21 which quite frankly had nothing to do with you and was a genuine attempt to understand the position of this company whom I had not kept fully up to date with. Anyhow, you decided to open an exchange with me starting with this:
Kpatel - Nice to that you are still living in your fluffy world of of self-delusion, but it might be time to wake up now....;-)
Very constructive as ever. Was I to expect anything less? No. Of note, I'd never had an exchange with you prior to this so a great way to open a conversation with another member on the board.
So I'm not sure what you were to expecting after this other than to be called a moron which based on the above holds true. I think you owe me an apology for your mislaid facts and frank lies.
Unfortunately I haven't learnt anything from you as you tend to make sarcastic remarks as I'm sure I recall at the start of our dialogue. I'm sure I didn't name call you in my last post? If you have lost as an investor then instead of portraying a 'I told you so attitude' to investors here you should encourage them on a learning journey. That's the way you approach these things. I could have got out of Avanti at £3+ but allowed the small risk to run and was willing to take that risk as many investors have done before me. So before judging you need to understand the investors position and investment strategy. I think most on this board have cleared out, still have no idea why you keep returning. Like I said maybe it's best we agree to disagree. Take it easy.
Hehe.. I wouldn't say this is interacting with you in a financial investing sense. It's more demeaning you and your incessant need to post on a company you supposedly have no financial interest in. Me coming back is justifiable as you said I've made the mistake and am still invested. But you, no idea other than you've lost so much you're trying to get your kicks out of others on the board who are still invested. Seems to be a theme based on other peoples opinions on you here. And again, as I've mentioned numerous time but your small brain struggles to cope - a small percentage of my portfolio in speculative stocks allows me to let them run instead of trying to trade in and out. Avanti are still operating as far as I'm aware so you missed the beat on this no? I don't expect to see any return on investment here but as I've said I am happy to admit when I've made a bad investment and I also know no honest investor hasn't. Anyhow, let's leave it on a pleasant tone and agree to disagree on our opinions. I'm sure the board are sick of it as am I. Good luck with your investing journey.
You continue to live up to the name MattTheFool. Hopefully this'll be the last communication I have with you. As I'm sure I've mentioned before but your squeaky little brain may not have processed it - I like yo use forums like this to discuss my higher risk/ speculative UK stocks to share knowledge on relatively smaller companies where mainstream info is hard to come by. My other stocks like Apple, Microsoft, or Nucor for example I don't need to use forums as accurate and honest information is easy to come by. But with all investing it is a learning curve and one thing I've learnt is interacting with prunes like you is not productive on any level. Get on with your life and I'll do the same. Remember you have no interest in Avanti but just hang around like a bad smell. Suits you.
Lol looks like I've stuck a nerve here MattTheFool. I don't stalk peoples investment portfolios but your incessant need to post on these types of forums about all your stocks tells me all I need to know. Let's leave it as this - continue your 'diversified' investing on stock discussed on a amateur chat forum and I'll continue with my global portfolio. Good day.
Good research there.. sounds a bit stalker like MattThefool. It seems you may be a bit obsessed with me. So just to give you a bit more to feed on - Asos post pandemic low hit high 50s - I've taken my cost basis out plus a bit more and will let the rest run. Lloyds bank - always useful to have a banking stock and an average cost basis of high 30s suits me fine. Premier oil - again post pandemic low entry and exited fully out of this position. As you may or may not have established these stocks are speculative and risky but form part of a diversified portfolio. I spend time discussing them on this forum as they are as I said speculative so doing some due diligence is sensible. Avanti remains one I've stayed and not ashamed to admit sometimes investing you don't win them all. But fortunately if you invest smartly you take risk on these highly risky stocks with a very small percentage of your funds. What strikes me is that clearly this forum isn't the best place to get proper insight especially with fools like you hanging around a forum you supposedly have no interest in. Strikes me that maybe, although I won't be stalker you that your losses are so great you get some sick pleasure of others losses.
Lol, please don't make me laugh. Learn from you? Someone who hangs around boards he supposedly has not active investment interest in. Bad smell. Let me spell it out for you - my portfolio is well balanced with a few speculative stocks, Avanti was on of them. Being speculative means a very small portion of my portfolio is allocated to them. To make that even more clear to you just in case you're struggling Matt, if one of them performs badly my overall portfolio isn't significantly affected. That's how you invest in speculative stocks. Thanks. Hope you've learnt.
Not got the strength to communicate with you any further, you just don't get it. Enjoy hanging around a board you supposedly have no interest in.
MTB - the only moron here is the one that keeps coming back to a board to comment on a company he apparently has no financial interest in. Sad.
I stayed in because I allow my portfolio room to purchase shares of speculative stocks like this one. But don't worry the odd £500 I chucked at it won't keep me up at night. Thanks for trying to explain things to me but clearly you have been burnt in the past and hanging around to take pleasure on others loss. Not me though as my portfolio is doing just fine with Avanti or without. Maybe get out a bit more especially now the restrictions have eased. Good day.
MattTheBrave - you're a clown. For someone that has no interest financially in a company to have time to post on forums like this is a little bit concerning.
Anyhow, quite clearly you've been wrong consistently as the company is not bust, shareholders may never see a return but at least they have more to their lives then to have spare time posting about a company they have no financial interest in.
You moron.
I hear you all but to cause a near 20% drop regardless of inflation seems well over done. It sends us back to levels on feb 21 which even with inflation makes no sense to me as the growth in the business seems much more stronger than any inflation fears. I understand a slowing of the rise in stock price but I don't quite understand how inflation can cause us to go so far back. Is it that powerful? It's a fluctuating indicator whereas asos results have been concrete.
I can't understand how this stock after posting awesome results has fallen so much. It makes me question the fundamentals of investing. I understand profit taken but this has dropped what 20% after posting earnings that beat. I'm a long term investor but sometimes I question whether investing is just gambling when this happens!
Hi Tyche,
Thank you for your message.
As you say the company is not bust and is progressing and growing. I hold shares here so what would your advice be on what to do with them? I mean they are worth very little now and I hope if the company continues to grow and land project there nah be hope for a recovery for shareholders. How do you see this and why have the shareholders loss? Surely holding on for long term and potential relist if finances are somehow back to acceptable standing could turn things around?
Hello all,
I keep a keen eye on the company since the delisting particularly as many on this board said it’s a matter of time before the company goes under. However, reading the website and activity on there it seems they are still operating even with the dismal finances. How is the company surviving and is it a matter of time before they go under or is their hope yet? Does the company have potential for takeover and if so where does that leave the shareholder?
Thanks in advance.
I know the wider market and retail is down but why has ASOS been hit with a big drop on what can only be viewed as positive news this week? I understand a pullback but this is pulling back to levels pre the trading update and news?
Thoughts?
I continue to hold too in hope that we see recovery as the potential of the company seemed to be great a few years back and I liked where they were potentially heading. I to hope that they return to stock market but if not and they continue functioning the way they are now albeit managing their debt etc what happens to our shares?
Hello,
I’m invested in ASOS and was very pleased to see the results recently and placing. However, am at odds why we have had a fairly sustained drop in SP. I’m expecting the to head to 2500p+. Tempted to buy back in.. any thoughts?
Well I still think we can get to a cut of 15m barrels a day if G20 cut by 5m at tomorrow’s meeting. I still don’t think that’s enough though. And I also don’t see WTI hitting $35 anytime soon. This is a worry for premier oil - do we see premier oil going under from this too?
