Agree with Peter, ARB is a prime example of how unethical companies can be towards investors. From when Wall was in and the company was issuing misleading profitability statements and at the same time over extending finances, but while protecting own interests. It limped on for awhile and I had hopes, but suspect the vultures where already circling this a while ago. I guess at the end of the day it's the risk we all take when investing.

And here shows the risk of investing in start ups - great concept, good products, awful financial management.

I just sold my smallish stake for 53% profit, I figured the wait for 2% wasn't worth it especially given the climate with Trump. Pretty sure I'll do better elsewhere.

I'd expect as with other stocks I've held in takeovers, this will net holders 430p (minus broker charges if applicable) The stamp/other fees should be absorbed by "the buyer" and given it's a foreign body they'll probably find ways to avoid some of these. It's only 2%, but still could be significant for large holders.

Well this is a bit confusing, the "cash" offer is 430p, irrevocable agreements signed and yet the SP is holding at 418 with a tight spread. No Dividends planned in the near term but no info on when this is expected to conclude. Why is this share not nearer 430p today. What am I missing here?

Bingo - that contract is a shot in the arm and shorters can't "officially" act. One more of these and wood market cap will surely rise once suspension is lifted

I tried to buy Friday - t212 let my marker order lapse, they also didn’t execute on my limit order at 10p - bought today with another broker at the higher price but still think worth it based on fundamentals alone

IMHO - the main issue here is a lack of funding. Despite the recent news they have so little cash at play it’ll either be a trade off for profit or raise coming. That said what do I know, I am just trying to read between the lines based on past experience. Significantly down and holding, but will not be adding more here.

Ask yourselves: If WG. fail a) who suffers most, b) who gains the most? (Other than the obvious - Shorters.) There is no guarantee that anyone would pick up contracts from WG if it got to admin, so any suiter would be looking at how to dove tail this business and future goodwill as well as reduce exposure. Which is ultimately what Sid have been doing, others would much more likely wait before playing their hand, unless of course to bump Sid into more serious offer zones. It can go either way - but I think it's too desirable to completely fail so took the risk averaging down my cost. I'll either lose the lot in which case it's my risk, or it'll make me a decent profit when coming out of suspension or even if held for a longer term. IMHO this is peanuts to Sid now, they will make back their purchase price within 2 years (probably less) from profits goodwill and tax write offs. That said they will still play the game to get it lower. Wood BOD have managed their way into deep waters and some can't swim.
